Log into the cloud AD environment
- [Instructor] So far in this chapter, I've created an active directory environment that's native to the Amazon Cloud. My active directory exists as a managed service. I've also domain joined a couple of virtual machine instances. The real question now is how do you log into those virtual machine instances using a domain account? Well, that's what I want to show you. As you look at the screen, you'll notice that there's an RDP icon, and this icon maps to one of my virtual machine instances. I'm going to go ahead and double click on that icon. And when I do, the remote desktop connection opens, I'll just go ahead and click connect. And now I'm prompted to enter my credentials. Now what you'll find a lot of times is that if you haven't logged into a particular virtual machine instance yet, the credentials that are displayed may be wrong, particularly with regard to the domain that the client is trying to connect to and with regard to the username.
