Converting a document to a page walkthrough
- [Instructor] Here we are at our Global Marketing site, and our marketing team has just released a new social media training manual. It's over 26 pages of content. How will our users find what they need quickly rather than having to dig through a 26 page document? Let's start converting that to webpages. The first thing we're going to do is create the new page. From the New menu, select Page. Let's use the Blank option and select Create page. Don't forget, you need to add a title and add an image for the banner. Remember that your changes to your pages are saved periodically for you. Let's go ahead and save and close the page. To get an idea of what we're building, let's go ahead and look at the Word document. This is our social media training manual. Notice that there's 33 pages in this manual. I always like to show the navigation pane. This gives you an idea of the content of the document. If we scroll down, we do have a table of contents, and this could be your guideline as well…
