- Before I started using Descript, I can't even count how many times I had to go back and rerecord entire videos just because of one simple mistake. With Descript's Overdub feature, you can create a text to speech model of your voice or choose from one of their realistic stock voices. Simply type the missing words into Descript Editor and it will seamlessly add them to your audio or video tracks. Keep watching, I'll show you. First, let's create an Overdub voice. Start by clicking the D icon over here and then click Back to projects. Click the tab that says Voices and here, you'll see the option to create a new voice and give the voice a name. You'll then need to either upload or record at least 10 minutes of English language speech in your own voice. If you don't already have a 10-minute recording of yourself, don't worry.
