Add mobile devices to a network
- [Instructor] When an enterprise or educational institution allows users to bring their own devices, they often set them up as managed devices. This means that once added, administrators can control and secure the device just as they would with all the others that have access to the organization's network. Many businesses use virtual private networks for these connections. Always-on VPNs are quite popular, as well. However, there are other options that are built into Windows 10. Click Start, Settings, Accounts, and then click Access work or school. Notice on the far right side the various options. You can set up an account for taking tests, enroll in device management, and get help with remote desktops and VPNs. One way to secure users' personal devices is to have users enroll through the DirectAccess option. Clients must run an Enterprise edition of Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7, and must be domain joined to make use of DirectAccess. To see if a client is running…
