The basics of a good proposal
- [Instructor] A well-written construction proposal should be easy to read and leave no doubt to the recipient as to what is being proposed. I often go back to my middle school language arts teacher who taught me how to write a business letter by incorporated the four Ws, who, what, when, and where. Plus, we are going to add one more thing, how much. Let's take a look at a proposal letter. And here you can see the who. At the top, we have a header that tells who the proposer is. That's us down. Down below, who are we proposing to? In this case, it's the Village of Percy. Specifically, contact information for the individual receiving the proposal. We even put their name here at the top of the letter. What, what are we proposing? We've summarized it here in the body of the letter and at the bottom there's an exclusion.
