That's a wrap! 👏 We've had a brilliant day hosting Growing Green Skills, connecting and collaborating with so many of you who are looking to bring together housing, environment, and employment sectors to support social housing communities on our journey towards net zero 💚 We want to say a huge thank you to Lynsey Sweeney , Amy Evens, and Antoine Pellet for making up a brilliant panel, and to Dave Bussey for chairing, and of course a huge well done to Rebecca Rieley for bringing us all together 👏 A summary of the day will be available shortly, but for now, feel free to read our Growing Green Skills learning journal here 👉 https://lnkd.in/exKTDqSy
Great to connect with so many organisations sitting in different parts of the local and national system that enable green skills and employment opportunities to come about. I've taken away a lot to reflect on, particularly how we can re-tell the narratives about the need for green skills in the housing sector and with potential employers, drawing out more strongly the co-benefits more strongly. Also, as we move towards more mayoral led regions, what opportunities can this unlock in this space too? hearing from the brilliant SNG team is also an important reminder of the need for effective relationship building - if we want to ensure a meaningful just transition to net zero, building trusting relationships in communities is key - big thanks to Erica Watts Amy Evens Spencer Cooney and Isabella Pogliaghi. Thanks to all who participated in the discussions today and glad we had the sunshine in Bournemouth too! Amy Walton Julie O'Carroll Melina Brothers Ben Earl Éadaoin Kelly Peter Bywater Paddy Stennings and all the partners who joined us today, thank you! photos on the way...
What a great day meeting everyone involved in the Green Skills project in BCP.
Thanks for a great event. It was brilliant to discuss ways we can collaborate and move the dial on the green skills agenda.
