I was having a moment of reflection today and for those of you that know me, that's a rare thing....but I have had possibly the hardest 12 months of my life recently with various medical issues and other challenges and having just recovered from a recent bout of COVID, I returned to work dreading the usual overwhelming inbox only to find my management team had kept on top of everything and kept the train on the tracks and pushing forward with the same drive and authenticity I have come to appreciate and be thankful for. I sometimes feel that the "middle management" get a real rough ride because they have to deal with expectations from all directions and they rarely get the praise and recognition they deserve..so today I wanted to acknowledge my team and thank them for the amazing job that they do, the focus, the passion, the integrity and the genuine desire to do the right thing for the customer, the business and the team. I'm very lucky to have you and I appreciate you...you know who you are ..# Anna, James,Marion,Julia,Tom and Roni.
What a shout out Jules. I know how much you support your team, having worked with you now for a number of years. Honest, heart felt leaders that fully ‘appreciate’ their staff/teams, aren’t always common place. Those leaders who have their teams back through thick and thin are great. If we can move our colleagues into a position where they no longer need us, because we’ve trained, developed, coached and mentored them; then we’ve ABSOLUTELY done our job!
Such a lovely gesture. I am sure your team appreciates it. And sorry you had to go though, what seems like an awful period. Hope you have okay and feeling better.
Because you are such a lovely person that is cared about!! I can totally understand why they would want to help :)
