What a fantastic 2 weeks we’ve had for the Build Salford Traineeship. It’s fabulous to see so many people and organisations invest their time into these young people. A huge thank you to everyone that has been involved so far. Here are some of the opportunities we have had: - visits to 3 different construction sites, learning about different construction methods. A huge thank you to Morgan Sindall Construction, Seddon and Vistry Group for having us on site. - Guest speakers from organisations such as Kenny Waste Management, and Metclad Contracts, - have a go activities in design, brickwork, Joinery, electrical, plumbing, painting and decorating, and spray plastering, courtesy of Morgan Sindall Construction, Titan Interior Solutions, John Martin Painting Contractors Ltd, Cara Group and the fabulous apprenticeship team at Salford City College Group -CV writing and job application support from the wonderful Sarah Allen and Abbie Thomson And not to forget the infamous egg challenge from the one and only Allan Milne Only 1 more day and then the work placements start. I’m sure each of this years’ candidates will be brilliant throughout their placements and beyond.
