This road suffers from defects like potholes, cracks, uneven surfaces, and a general lack of smoothness. Poor road surfaces of this type can lead to vehicle damage, increased risk of accidents, and a less comfortable driving experience. Up grading and Improvements to this road surface would: Significantly Improve road safety for both pedestrians and cyclists Encourage cyclists to use this main arterial road for access to both Chorley town centre and Chorley hospital. Ease emergency vehicle access into Chorley Hospital. Improve traffic flow and thereby reduce congestion and pollution.
