How was your Monday? Mine was spent walking along the beach with an old colleague and great friend, Graeme Culliton We had the kind of Monday that looks very different to those we used to know — no morning rush, no bloated inbox ,no back-to-backs, no deadlines looming. Just the sound of the waves, the crunch of the sand, and a good, honest conversation that ebbed and flowed between the past and the future. We talked about the shared experiences that shaped us — some joyful, some challenging — and how those moments connect us more deeply than we often realise at the time. We talked about the great people that supported us and challenged us in equal measure. And hopefully we were better for it. There was some reflection, much laughter, and also some honest chat about what comes next. And we have some good plans. We chatted about how we are coping with semi-retirement, change, purpose, and what a meaningful Monday looks like now. And the good news is, we are both coping incredibly well and loving every minute. It reminded me that, in the end, it’s the people we share the journey with that leave the lasting mark. Projects finish, roles change, weeks blur — but conversations like today’s stay with you. As the shape of our Mondays continues to shift, I think what matters most is having the time — and most importantly, the people — to reflect with, to dream with, to trust in ,and of course to laugh with. As Mondays go, today’s was up there with the best. Graeme Culliton #construction #mindfulness #friendship #leadership #lovemondays
