Women in Tech South Africa reposted this
“A particularly powerful conversation. True leadership, she reminded us, is rooted in intention, impact, authenticity, clarity, and purpose.” ~REFILWE DIALE “What stood out to me the most was when Khensani Nyambi spoke. She made me comfortable with being passionate about a lot of things as a multifaceted individual.” ~ Chimwemwe Mwansa “What hit home for me [was the talk by Khensani]. A powerhouse” ~ Tshidi Moepi These are some of the heartwarming comments I received from my recent #personalbranding talk at the Women in Tech South Africa event. The reception I received from the audience coupled with recent #feedback from a friend, made me aware of how I seldom sit and take-in good feedback. Someone may share 9 things that I’m really good at, and I will focus on that 1 area of improvement. I will achieve what may be considered a huge milestone but already be thinking of what’s next without fully celebrating and/or acknowledging that milestone. I wonder if this is something someone else resonates with? For anyone who does resonate, I’m here to say that “it is okay to sit with that great feedback; take it in not so that you become pompous but to allow yourself a break from thinking of ‘what next’, to celebrate your wins and acknowledge your #strengths”. Acknowledging your strengths does not diminish your #humility, it makes you more self-aware and well rounded. So, thank you to everyone that had great things to share. You’ve offered me a moment to pause and take all of this in. Thank you for the invitation once again Women in Tech South Africa . It was a remarkable day! Joelle Behoor Buhle Kuse Melissa Slaymaker Hwalani Mabaso

💡 #Laptops4Learning In the spirit of Nelson Mandela, who believed that "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world," Women in Tech South Africa is launching the #Laptops4Learning campaign. Our mission is simple but powerful: Get laptops into under-resourced schools across South Africa to support digital literacy and STEM education for the youth - Contributing to our global mission of empowering 5 million women and girls in STEAM by 2030. 💡 Why This Matters Millions of South African students lack access to basic digital tools — limiting their learning opportunities, especially in the fast-evolving world of technology. A single laptop can open up a world of possibilities: coding, digital creativity, access to online learning, and a pathway into tech careers. This is more than a donation — it’s an investment in the future. 📌 How You Can Get Involved: 1️⃣ Buy a Ticket >>> https://lnkd.in/efEuYEav *Your ticket purchase goes directly toward buying new or refurbished laptops. 2️⃣ Donate a Laptop * We accept gently used laptops * Drop-off locations: [JHB , KZN, CT] * Want to donate ? Email us at [south-africa@women-in-tech.org] for next steps. 🎯 Our Target: We aim to donate 1000 laptops to 50 schools by the end of 2025 . Together, we can honour Madiba’s legacy by investing in the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders. 🌍 Let’s be the change. One laptop at a time
