Manage activities

Game activities encourage players to be engaged with your game and with each other by presenting them with in-game challenges, such as collecting puzzle pieces or completing daily tasks. Activities provide a way to link players directly to a specific mode or level making it easy for players to jump straight into the action with other players.

Required role: Account Holder, Admin, App Manager, Developer, or Marketing. View role permissions.

Configure activities

In Apps, select your app you want to view.
In the sidebar, click Game Center.
In the Activities section, click Activities.

Note: If activities exist, click the add button (+) in the Activities section.
Enter the reference name and activity ID.
Click Create.
Enter the metadata for your activity.
Under Activity Localization, add one or more languages by clicking Add Localization.

Note: If localizations exist, click the add button (+) in the Activities Localization section.
Enter the localization information.
Click Save.

To add additional language support for your activities, repeat the above steps for each language.

If you’re ready to publish your new or updated activity, add it to an app version.

Note: When you edit a localization that’s currently live in Game Center, a new version of the localization is created in “Prepare for Submission” state. Submit the edit with your next app version.

Associate leaderboards or achievements to an activity

In Apps, select your app you want to view.
In the sidebar, click Game Center.
Under Activity section, select the activity you want to edit.
In the Activity Associations section, click Add Association.

Note: If associations exist, click the add button (+) in the Activities Associations section.
Select an Association Type, Leaderboards or Achievements, and click Next.
Select leaderboards or achievements you want to associate with your activity.
Click Save.

Set up activity from leaderboard or achievement detail page

If you already have an activity created, you can associate it from your leaderboard or achievement detail page.

In Apps, select your app you want to view.
In the sidebar, click Game Center.
Under Achievements or Leaderboards section, select the achievement or leaderboard you want to edit.
Under Game Activity section, click Choose an activity.
Choose an activity, and click Save.

Delete, archive or unarchive an activity

In Apps, select your app you want to view.
In the sidebar, click Game Center.
In the Activities section, select the activity that you want to archive, unarchive, or delete.

Note: If you’ve grouped your activities, select that activities that you want to archive, unarchive, or delete from the Group Activities section.
Click Archive or Delete Activity at the end of the page.

Note: If an activity is already archived, click 'Unarchive Activity' to restore it.
Click Archive or Delete.

Note: It may take over an hour for the changes to take effect for the players.

To view the list of archived activity, click the ellipsis menu (…) within the Activity section, and select View Archived Activity.
