DCA Academy of Management and Leadership

We recognise the vital role leaders play in creating working conditions that enable a safe and effective service for our patients. Our Academy of Management and Leadership is a collection of values led development programmes, activities and resources designed to support any stage of your management and leadership journey with us. 

Internal Executive Coaching Service

We offer our colleagues the opportunity to work with an internal coach. Our coaches are accredited with professional coaching bodies and receive external supervision to assure an ethical and effective service. Internal coaches provide a powerful and personalised development experience, while understanding the world you work in. You’ll get a supportive partner who provides a safe, confidential and creative thinking space to help you realise your potential.  

Clinical DCA Learn sessions

DCA hosts CPD sessions each month covering learning and updates on various clinical topics. Led by clinical experts, these sessions provide regular and relevant CPD for your appraisals and knowledge to improve your practice and the patient experience.

Apprenticeships

Advance your career aspirations with a practical approach to professional development by exploring our diverse range of apprenticeships. We offer fully funded and dedicated programmes during your time at DCA, to provide you with the skills, qualifications and confidence you need to take the next step.

Learning Hub

Our Learning Hub provides 'on-demand' access to over 1,200 digital courses and resources to help you learn in the flow of work. You'll find a variety of content to meet your specific learning needs. The Learning Hub is accessible via your laptop or mobile phone, so you have the flexibility to learn when and where it suits you. 

Personal and Team Development Tools

We're passionate about personal growth, collaboration and appreciating differences in others. That's why DCA provides a range of assessment-based development experiences, to help individuals and teams understand themselves and each other better. These currently include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DISC, The Five Behaviors Team Development Solution and Strengths Finder.
