🔧 Une nouvelle étape pour le projet de centrale nucléaire EPR de Hinkley Point C au Royaume-Uni ! Le premier des huit générateurs de vapeur a été installé dans le bâtiment réacteur de l’unité 1. Ces composants de 520 tonnes jouent un rôle clé dans la conception de l’EPR : véritables « bouilloires géantes », ils produiront la vapeur nécessaire pour entraîner les plus grandes turbines du monde et alimenter plus de 6 millions de foyers en électricité bas carbone. 🔬  Framatome and GAMMATOM SRL have signed a contract to modernize the gamma sterilization facility in Como, Italy — a key site for the sterilization of medical devices in Europe. ➡️  This collaboration will enhance the automation and conveyor systems of the facility, improving operational performance with a safer and more modern design. François Gauché, Vice President of Framatome Healthcare, stated: “We are dedicated to supporting gamma sterilization facilities in their modernization efforts, now and for the long term. A key milestone for the UK nuclear program — and for all our teams committed to Sizewell C. The momentum continues.

Ces géantes de la régulation vapeur ont de quoi impressionner : 📏 Dimensions 6 m de long, 4 m de large, 2 m de haut ⚖️ Poids : de 20 à 25 tonnes 🚚 Transport ? Forcément en convoi exceptionnel ! À quoi servent-elles ? Elles régulent le débit et la pression de la vapeur intermédiaire alimentant les turbines des alternateurs. Une pièce maîtresse pour la production d’électricité dans une centrale. Intégrée en aval du groupe sécheur-surchauffeur, cette vanne 2-en-1 joue un rôle essentiel en conditions normales comme accidentelles. Elle assure : 👉 la protection de la turbine contre les survitesses, 👉la régulation du débit vapeur lors des phases d’îlotage, 👉le maintien de la synchronisation au réseau en cas de défaut. 👉Un équipement stratégique pour la sûreté et la performance des installations. Conditions de fonctionnement : ▪️ Température : 270°C ▪️ Pression opérationnelle : 10,4 bars (jusqu’à 15,4 bars max) ▪️Débit total pour 4 vannes : 1232 kg/s de vapeur d’eau ! Temps de fabrication : 15 à 18 mois Fournies par 4, elles sont équipées de vérins hydrauliques motorisés pour une précision maximale. 🌍 Déjà plusieurs dizaines livrées dans le monde. 🚀 We’ve just reached a spectacular new milestone in the ITER Organization Project with the successful installation of vacuum vessel module #6 — positioned just 5 cm from module #7 already in place. 🔧 This complex lifting operation, completed more than a month ahead of schedule, brought together the combined expertise of Framatome and its partners within the CNPE consortium. Over 36 hours of continuous operations, our teams demonstrated exceptional technical precision, positioning a 1,400-tonne component with less than 1 millimeter of alignment tolerance. 📈 Each phase of this high-stakes handling was optimized through lessons learned from previous assemblies, significantly reducing lead times and reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement. 🤝 This achievement, again ahead of the planning, reflects the strength of our collaboration with ITER Organization and the dedication of all involved. It’s a powerful example of what can be accomplished when industrial excellence meets scientific ambition.
