DHCP Failover local/remote
If I setup two local Windows Server 2022 nodes in a MS DHCP load share failover policy, can I also setup the same pair with a standby policy using a third node at a remote site? I have never used the failover policies, and seem to get contradicting answers when researching this topic. I want to have all the scopes from the primary site failover to the remote site if both primary nodes are down.4Views0likes0CommentsHow to become Administrator ? URGENT please...
Hello, I'm trying to become an Administrator of my Windows 10 PC to use apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store... I don't have the contact information for the current Administrator who registered me as a User; I have a recognized, validated Microsoft account. So I download an app under my login; when I try to run it, the PC asks me "Do you allow this app to make changes to this computer?" and I have to respond by entering the Administrator password (which I don't know!). I can't find an answer and can't contact Microsoft, so I'm really fed up... Do you think you can help me? Thanks in advance 🙏 mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons14Views0likes0CommentsD365 custom web resource in custom page in model driven app (navigating inside model driven app)
Seeking confirmation of custom page limitation & workarounds I have: a model driven app Home screen is a custom page with a button Another custom page with html text component inserted The home screen must navigate natively to the second custom page which has the html text This works however i cannot seem to have an iframe or dynamic references to my custom d365 html web resource (same domain) The experience needs to remain native, i.e. when clicking the button on the first custom page, it must navigate without leaving the model driven app (no new tabs or anything like that)8Views0likes0CommentsHow to build AI Research Team
As I plan to establish an AI Research Lab dedicated to enterprise-grade LLM development, what are the end-to-end best practices for: Setting up the lab’s infrastructure, governance and research processes; Assembling an optimal multidisciplinary team structure (e.g., research scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, MLOps specialists, security and compliance officers); Sourcing and purchasing high‑quality, domain‑specific enterprise datasets—including typical marketplaces, licensing models, pricing considerations, and budget planning; Defining the key output criteria for an enterprise LLM—covering performance metrics (latency, throughput, accuracy), scalability, robustness, interpretability, bias mitigation, security, and regulatory compliance?22Views0likes0CommentsRequest for Support – Hosting Microsoft Certification Programs
Hello Microsoft Partner Community, My company as a Microsoft Partner is planning to host a series of certification programs focused on Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure, Copilot and Copilot for Microsoft 365. These programs are aimed at educating and onboarding executives and decision-makers from various organizations. We would appreciate guidance on the following: What types of support are available to Microsoft Partners who are organizing certification or skilling events? Can we request free or trial user accounts for Azure and Copilot 365? Since these are paid services, we’d like to offer hands-on experience to participants especially executives before they commit to adoption. Are we allowed to use Microsoft branding (e.g., logos, product names) in our certification materials and promotional content? Can we include “Microsoft” in the name of our certification program, or co-brand it in any way? Is it possible to have our courses accredited, endorsed, or recognized by Microsoft in any official capacity? Are there existing frameworks or programs (e.g., Microsoft Learn, Applied Skills, or Microsoft Certifications) that we can align with or integrate into our offerings? We’re excited about the opportunity to promote Microsoft technologies and would love to ensure our programs are aligned with Microsoft’s standards and best practices. Looking forward to your guidance and support. Best, Eli from MKC38Views0likes0CommentsValueError: Error downloading data: ProxyError in Python in Excel (Microsoft 365)
"Hello, I am experiencing a persistent error when trying to retrieve data from the web using the Python in Excel feature (part of Microsoft 365). The Issue: When executing any Python code within an Excel cell that attempts an HTTP/HTTPS request (e.g., using the requests library), an error occurs. The specific error message is: ValueError: Chyba při stahování dat: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='...') Max retries exceeded with url: / (Caused by ProxyError('Cannot connect to proxy.', OSError('Tunnel connection failed: 400 Bad Request'))) Key Observations and Steps Taken (please review each point): Python in Excel Feature: This issue specifically affects the Python in Excel add-in within Microsoft 365. Consistent Error: The error occurs consistently for any target URL, whether it's https://www.oddsportal.com/ or a simple test page like https://quotes.toscrape.com/ (which is known for easy scraping tests and does not have active protections like Cloudflare). OS Proxy Settings Excluded: All proxy settings in Windows (Automatic proxy setup, Use setup script, Manual proxy setup) are Disabled. The issue is not related to browser proxy settings. Network Connection Excluded: The error persists even when connecting via a mobile hotspot, ruling out the home network (Virgin Media) as the cause. Firewall Excluded: Windows Defender Firewall has been temporarily disabled for all network profiles during testing, and the error still occurs. No other third-party antivirus or firewall software is installed (only Windows Defender). Microsoft Office Reinstallation: Microsoft 365 has been completely reinstalled on the laptop, which did not resolve the issue. Network Reset: A "Network Reset" has been performed in Windows, which reinstalls network adapters and resets network settings. This also did not resolve the issue. System File Check: sfc /scannow was run from an elevated command prompt and found and successfully repaired corrupted system files. However, the ProxyError still persists after a restart. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth was also run. Creative Cloud: It was observed that Creative Cloud performed a self-repair/update after running system file checks, but this did not resolve the network error in Excel. Task Manager Observation: Reviewing Task Manager processes shows no obvious third-party proxy-like processes running that would explain the error. Conclusion: Given these comprehensive troubleshooting steps, it appears to be a deeply embedded system-level issue affecting how Python within Excel handles outbound HTTPS requests, manifesting as a ProxyError despite no active proxy being configured. The Tunnel connection failed: 400 Bad Request part of the error suggests an unexpected interception or failure at a low level of the network stack, or within the Python in Excel environment itself. Any assistance or advanced diagnostic steps would be greatly appreciated."29Views0likes0Commentsblue screen trouble
Hi everyone, I have had my PC for about a year and a half. My specs are 3060 NVIDIA RTX, AMD Ryzen 7, 32 GB ram, 650 power supply. I had it built originally at best buy (I know, I have never heard the end of it) and they built it completely wrong. There was a lot of problems with booting, but I almost never had problems with blue screening. I took it to a local guy to get it fixed and he completely rebuilt my pc basically. The booting problems were completely solved, however now my PC blue screens at least once a day. This could be while I am streaming games on discord, or just playing games regularly (games that don't take up much GPU usage I should add.) I have tried literally everything, I have tried SFC scannow, and DISM commands. I have tried reinstalling drivers, and even reinstalling windows (but not completely, just the option that keeps the files) I've spoken to a lot of my friends and they are running out of ideas as am I. Oh, and the message that keeps popping up on my blue screens is KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE. Ive also gotten PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA once. Thank you!! Hopefully someone can help me!19Views0likes0CommentsBi-directional sync missing in Defender for Cloud (Tenant-Based) connector in Sentinel?
Hi, We enabled the Defender for Cloud (Tenant-Based) connector in Microsoft Sentinel, and according to recent updates, it should now support bi-directional sync (Connect = ON, Bi-directional sync = ON). But in our case: The Bi-directional sync option is missing or not visible under the connector settings This is happening across all subscriptions listed under the tenant connector A few questions: Is bi-directional sync fully rolled out for all tenants, or is it still in phased deployment? Are there specific requirements (permissions, region, workspace type) needed for it to show? If it's already GA, should we expect to see it on all subscriptions by default? Do we need to remove and re-add the connector or wait for a backend refresh? We’re trying to confirm if this is expected behavior or a configuration issue from our side. Thanks!27Views0likes0CommentsHTTP Error 500.30 - ASP.NET Core app failed to start which is hosted in Azure Web App

I'm not sure when this started, but I've discovered that navigating to a previous page with the Back button in the browser is broken in certain scenarios. Steps to reproduce: Sign in to Home | Microsoft Community Hub Click on your avatar and select Profile. You should now be on your profile page Click on a reply to a post in the list of Recent Discussions Click on the Back button in your browser Expected result: You are back at your profile page Actual result: You are still viewing the post you clicked on in step 3. If you click the Back button a second time, you will be taken to the page you were on before you opened the Tech Community home page. Edit: Further testing reveals this happens specifically when you click on a reply to a post in "Recent Discussions".54Views0likes0CommentsCPU performance on laptop suddenly drops for 3-5 seconds while gaming then fixes and works properly.
Hello guys. As you can see i am having issues where i am gaming and the game and frames would run perfectly fine. Then i notice a sudden drop in frames and responsiveness from the laptop. This lasts for 3-5 seconds then it runs completely fine and later comes back. So far i've noticed for some reason it only happens while my laptop is plugged in. When it's not, the game runs completely smooth. I have an HP 15-FC0031LA and the specs are: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7730u RAM 16GB Storage: 1 TB SSD Graphics Card: AMD Radeon While this laptop is not necessarily a gaming laptop. When the laptop is unplugged, the game in question runs 100% smoothly. Note:(I've also tried playing with the 3 power saving modes (Power Efficiency, Balanced, Best Performance) and this has no effect.44Views0likes0Comments👋 Welcome to the Microsoft Tech Community!

Could you please provide a comprehensive explanation regarding the rationale behind maintaining separate locations for classic and modern SharePoint sites when deploying retention labels? Specifically, I am interested in understanding the architectural, functional, and compliance-related factors that necessitate this distinction. Additionally, if there are any official documentation or best practices that elaborate on this topic, I would appreciate it if you could direct me to those resources.33Views0likes0CommentsMy account is hacked and compromised
My Microsoft account was hacked into. They changed my password and sent out all kinds of spam. They took over all my accounts, including banking, that were connected to my hotmail email. They changed the email on the account and even enabled a two step verification with their contact info. I'm still fighting to get back all of my accounts that are connected to my hotmail.com email. Because of all the spam they sent, my Microsoft account is now also locked. I've tried multiple times in sending the account verification form but because they have set up a two step verification, the form sends me the automatic reply notification that the form does not work for my account. I had to create this new Microsoft account just to try and get help from Microsoft. It has been a never-ending loop of sending the account verification form and having it get kicked back. Also been in a never-ending loop on the support page trying to request assistance but it just leads me to sending an account verification form. I NEED my hotmail.com email back. It still has so much information that I need to get all my bank, shopping, personal, etc. accounts back not to mention all the sentimental emails and photos that are in there back from when I first created the account. It was my first email ever and I need to get it back. Please, what can I do?? How can I get a hold of an actual person at Microsoft that can help me with this?119Views0likes0Comments
