Decomissioning a single not anymore used Exchange Server 2013
About 1,5 years ago we moved all the email database to MS365 and since then used online the cloud solution. This was and is not a hybrid connection between the on-premises Exchange server and MS365. Now I want to delete all mailboxes of on-premises server and uninstall it. I am looking at this tutorial in this relation: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/exchange-team-blog/decommissioning-exchange-server-2013/ba-p/3613793. With some differences (e.g. disabling and deleting mailboxes instead of migrating them) this seems to be a good way. But another tutorial suggests that a single server should be left for management (though this tutorial considers a hybrid installation with 2016/2019 EX-srv): https://www.alitajran.com/remove-last-exchange-server/ My question is: How do I remove (or at least minimize) a no-more used Exchange Server 2013 installation und Windows Server 2012 R2. Using Sharepoint as Virtual Data Room (VDR)
I am very new to SharePoint and I have been tasked to set up a VDR using SharePoint. It is for sharing and collaborating with external partners. Important features of a VDR are, but not limited to: 1) User Management and Control (User login, Login auto expiry, Assigning access permission etc) 2) Data Management and Control (Access permission, watermarking, cannot download/save, cannot print, cannot edit etc) 3) User Activity Report (when did user login, frequency of login, which files, etc) I am not able to find much resources for this. I am wondering anyone here has any experience setting up a VDR via Sharepoint. And if you could share best practice or any advice, will be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Cheers, jw
SharePoint Power Apps Form lock the form field to only created by can edit
I'm trying to get the SharePoint Form fields to be locked for editing for everyone except for the person who created the item. the only this I can see wrong is that when I place the Created By Column in the form field it shows: i:0=.f|membership|email where I think the i:0=.f|membership| before the email address is throwing the code off: I'm using this code: If( User().Email = ThisItem.'Created By'.Email, DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.View ) Currently it is locked no one can edit the fields not even the person who created the item. (Created By) Is there a way to fix the code to work?
How to connect SharePoint site access user details via Google Analytics data studio
Hi Experts, Good day, I would like to create new reports in Google data studio (Google Analytics), with the data source coming from SharePoint. I need to import site access user counts, including the number of views and counts. I know that we can export this data via the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, but my client does not allow tenant access due to data privacy concerns. Could you please advise on how we can achieve this? Specifically, I need to collect SharePoint document and file access user details daily and connect this data to Google Analytics on daily basis. SharePoint List - How to open Edit Current View option in same Tab
Hi All, Currently I am using SharePoint Online site collection. In that list if I click on Edit current view option from any view then it open in new Tab to edit view settings. How to open that in the same Tab? As in SharePoint 2013 if you modify list view then it opens in same Tab so this same behavior want in SharePoint Online. Is there any way to open in same Tab on SharePoint Online List. Thanks, Harish Patil
Autodiscover SSL Certificate showing as expired - Exchange Hybrid
We are having issues with our Autodiscover, we only just noticed this issue yesterday, which is when our old SSL cert expired. After noticing this, I checked IIS on both Hybrid Exchange Servers and noticed the old SSL cert was bound to the web services, changed this to the new cert, restarted the web services, also restarted the server. But yet no change to the certificate associated with autodiscover! Our SSL cert was updated 2 weeks ago, via the cert store and running hybrid configuration wizard. Mail flow seems to be fine, I can see in the smtp send logs that the tls connector is using our new SSL certificate with the correct credentials. Does anyone have any insight into this?InfoPath Unable to Submit the Data
Hi Team I have the InfoPath form which is connected with SharePoint list in the list i have added the new column and also i have added the new textbox in the InfoPath designer but while submitting the data the column value is not storing to the DataSource. The DataSource is giving the Main in the InfoPath designer. Can you anyone give me the solution Please find the Images. Newly Added the Column which is Sample Data. I have been dealing with this issue for a year. I am an IT Tech and I cannot get my email to sync on my phone and the other techs can't figure it out either. I downloaded the Outlook app on my phone and set my work account up manually (adding server and domain name, etc) and by choosing Exchange. But the inbox will not sync. I tried it on my wife's phone as well but it also will not sync the inbox so I have a feeling that there is something wrong with my account. My coworker logged into his account on my phone and his inbox immediately synced, so I don't think it is an issue with my phone but possibly an issue with my account. I even deleted my email account in the EAC and created a new one but I am having the same problem. My organization uses Exchange 2013. Things I have tried on my phone- restarting phone, changing settings in the Android Outlook settings: battery is set to unrestricted, "allow data usage while data saver is on" is set to on, and turning off "remove permissions if app is unused". Is there a setting in either the Microsoft 365 admin center or the Exchange admin center that I need to change?SharePoint Online - How to keep left navigation expandable
