It was lovely to meet yesterday with Stuart from #BowkerIT, John Butler President of the Morecambe Cricket Club and James Lambert who made the original defib donation application. Great to see this life saving equipment, donated through the NWA and Blues and Twos CU collaboration, installed & ready to use at Morecambe Cricket Club. These guys are doing a brillant job, along with Phil Martin, to raise funds & promote membership to cricket players and inclusion for non-players across their local community 👍

We're proud to announce a life-saving collaboration with the North West Ambulance Charity, 🚑 resulting in the installation of seven new automated external defibrillators (AEDs) across Lancashire.😃 The joint initiative, funded by Blues And Twos Credit Union and North West Ambulance Charity, ensures vital AEDs are now accessible at community hubs like sports clubs , churches, and local centres. These locations were nominated by our own members—public sector workers who know their communities best. NWAS then strategically selected final sites for maximum impact. The first defibrillators has already been installed in Nelson and Morecambe, with more on the way. Once live, each device will be registered with the national defib network, allowing 999 call handlers to direct people to them during emergencies. Yesterday, Monday 14th July, our Marketing Team had the pleasure of attending the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Wellbeing Festival in Broughton, Preston - and what a fantastic day it was!😊 We had some great conversations with North West Ambulance Service staff, shared how Blues and Twos Credit Union supports those in the emergency and public services, and answered lots of questions from our valued existing members. It was also a real highlight to welcome new members to the credit union – thank you for joining our community! 💙 A huge thank you to NWAS Wellbeing Team for organising such a positive and engaging event focused on staff wellbeing. At Blues and Twos Credit Union, we’re proud to have contributed a small donation to this year’s Bay Health Festivals — a unique and inspiring initiative that brings together communities across Lancaster, Kendal, and Barrow to celebrate health and wellbeing in a fun, accessible way. 😊 🎪The Bay Health Festivals is a unique experiment in population health. It began life as an idea 10 years ago, the Morecambe Bay Trust Chaplaincy Dept, called the Lancaster Health Festival and grew to include Kendal and Barrow. It's based on a very mediaeval idea of festival. If you want people to think about change, to make change and to stick with that change, don't lecture them, shame them or heckle them, let them have fun. When people have fun they relax, when they relax they have time to think, when they have time to think, they're open to the possibility of change.   Last year the Lancaster section of the event had 4000 people attend. This year, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Blue and Twos we have widened our net to focus on inviting more of our NHS Staff.  They too are members of our population. https://lnkd.in/evpYttZm  

🚑 New Community Defibrillator Installed in Nelson – Donated by Blues and Twos Credit Union ❤️ We’re proud to have donated a life-saving defibrillator to the Hodge House Community Trust in Nelson, now installed at the Hodge House Community Centre in the Bradley ward. The defibrillator was officially unveiled by the Mayor of Pendle, Councillor Muhammad Ammer, earlier this week. Rafida Khaliq, Chair of Hodge House, said: “We are extremely grateful that Blues and Twos have made this donation for the people of Bradley. I would especially like to thank Nazya Khalid, founder of the Female Friendship Forum, who worked with us to make this possible.” As a credit union that exists to support those who serve our communities, we’re honoured to contribute to local safety and wellbeing in this way.
