The National Basketball Association (NBA) is coming to Manchester! Co-op Live and Manchester City Council are delighted to confirm that the NBA will be coming to Manchester in 2027 for the city's regular-season debut. The game will be held at Co-op Live, with the exact date and participating teams to be announced prior to the 2026-27 NBA season. The announcement is the latest in a series of major global events confirmed for Manchester, further cementing the city as a world-class entertainment and sporting destination. We're made our first annual donation to our Official Charity Partner, the Co-op Foundation, funding vital initiatives, including the Foundation’s Young Gamechangers Fund, which awards grants of up to £20,000 directly to young people aged 10 to 25 who are leading projects that drive positive social change. One of the young changemakers supported by the fund is Thomas Cockroft, one of the founders of FungALL CIC – a community organisation based in Manchester that uses the power of mushrooms and nature to engage young people in sustainability, mental wellbeing, and environmental activism. Led by local youth, FungALL exemplifies how the Young Gamechangers Fund is empowering grassroots leadership and creating meaningful local impact.
