Making digital a force for good in health and care

About us

Digital Health and Care Wales is a national organisation delivering the digital health services needed for modern patient care in Wales. As a public service organisation working in partnership with NHS Wales organisations, we supply over 70 software services to users across NHS Wales and to other parts of the United Kingdom. We support doctors, nurses and other clinical professionals, helping them provide specialist care to patients in hospitals, GP practices and across the community. Our aim is that every task care professionals undertake is supported digitally, that records are created, held and accessed electronically and that all such services work seamlessly and commonly across organisations and sectors.

  • Post Dwyieithog | Bilingual Post Advanced Analytics: Powering smarter health planning in Wales The NHS generates vast amounts of data every day, but value comes from insight, not volume. That’s where the Advanced Analytics team in the National Data Resource (NDR) comes in. Through the NDR, NHS Wales is applying techniques like predictive modelling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract insight and support better decisions. Whether it’s identifying patients at risk of deterioration or forecasting future demand for services, analytics is helping clinicians and planners take proactive, informed action. Importantly, these tools are developed and used within NHS Wales, ensuring they are transparent, ethical, and aligned with our values. The goal is not to replace professional judgement, it’s to support it with timely, relevant information. With robust governance and clinical engagement, advanced analytics is already making a difference across services – and its potential is only growing. Read more about Advanced Analytics in the National Data Resource: https://lnkd.in/e3rEG4FA --- Dadansoddeg Uwch: Pweru cynllunio iechyd mwy craff yng Nghymru Mae'r GIG yn cynhyrchu symiau enfawr o ddata bob dydd - ond mae gwerth yn dod o fewnwelediad, nid cyfaint. Dyna lle mae'r tîm Dadansoddeg Uwch yn yr Adnodd Data Cenedlaethol (NDR) yn dod i mewn. Trwy'r NDR, mae GIG Cymru yn defnyddio technegau fel modelu rhagfynegol, prosesu iaith naturiol, a dysgu peirianyddol i echdynnu mewnwelediad a chefnogi penderfyniadau gwell. Boed yn nodi cleifion sydd mewn perygl o ddirywiad neu'n rhagweld y galw am wasanaethau yn y dyfodol, mae dadansoddeg yn helpu clinigwyr a chynllunwyr i gymryd camau rhagweithiol a gwybodus. Yn bwysig, mae'r offer hyn yn cael eu datblygu a'u defnyddio o fewn GIG Cymru, gan sicrhau eu bod yn dryloyw, yn foesegol, ac yn cyd-fynd â'n gwerthoedd. Y nod yw peidio â disodli barn broffesiynol - ond ei chefnogi â gwybodaeth amserol a pherthnasol. Gyda llywodraethu cadarn ac ymgysylltiad clinigol, mae dadansoddeg uwch eisoes yn gwneud gwahaniaeth ar draws gwasanaethau - a dim ond tyfu y mae ei botensial. Darllenwch fwy am Ddadansoddeg Uwch yn yr Adnodd Data Cenedlaethol:
