🚺 Post-obstetric fistula repair incontinence (POFRI) remains a complex and often under-addressed challenge in women's health. To build consensus and support better diagnosis and management, FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) convened an Expert Fistula Surgical Workshop at the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in early 2024. The resulting expert recommendations focus on standardized terminology, comprehensive clinical assessments, and clear treatment pathways—including both conservative and surgical options. A practical flowchart and detailed guidance now offer clinicians actionable tools to improve care for women living with POFRI. 📄 Learn how these insights can improve outcomes for patients and support surgical teams worldwide: https://lnkd.in/e8esWvys #WomensHealth #FistulaCare #POFRI #FIGO #Urogynecology #GlobalHealth #SurgicalEducation
