Last year, #PaintingandMaintenance completed internal and external decoration works to 400 properties for Rochdale Boroughwide Housing. The 32-week project was completed in two phases across Middleton and Kirkholt Estate, providing a refresh to the communal areas of flats, bungalows and houses. Property Services have been working on Oakwood school in the Midlands. During the project, the care home that is situated opposite the school has kindly offered the site team use of their car park for contractor parking. This area was overgrown with weeds and also full of rubbish left by members of the public. As a thank you to the care home, the Seddon site team and Gold Cup ground workers spent the afternoon cleaning the car park and road leading to it. 🙌 We’re pleased to announce that Manchester-based construction company, Seddon, will be building our brand-new community fire station in Stockport. This exciting development is an investment in our people, our communities, and the future of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. The station will provide improved facilities for our crews, a new space for local community activities and low-carbon heating and lighting systems in support of Greater Manchester’s ambition to become a carbon neutral city-region by 2038. During the build, King Street West crews have temporarily relocated to Whitehill. They'll continue their excellent emergency response around Stockport town centre and across the borough, with no reduction in fire engines or firefighters. They'll also carry on their usual local community activities, including prevention advice, school visits and training.
