A unique and immensely rewarding project to be part of. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to transforming this once derelict building. Slightly different to our usual work, but a great example of the versatility and professionalism of the WSL team.

They say things come in threes and for the WSL teams, it's been three tank installs over the last week or so. Huge well done to the teams at Shell Playing Place, Esso Horsham and Shell Aqueduct for reaching a key milestone in these projects, successfully and safely. Unfortunately, the sun was only shining for the installations in the South, the install in the Midlands was back to typical British Summer weather!

Yesterday WSL took part in the annual Shell Safety Day, this years topic was 'How you respond matters'. The site team at Playing Place hosted members of the Artelia team where they watched the content provided by Shell and then discussed 'Stop Work Authority' and how all those working on our constructions sites are empowered to stop work and report if they have any concerns. Report, discuss, challenge, learn and improve are key to shaping our Health & Safety culture. The team enjoyed some traditional Cornish fare from Philps to round off the session.

We're delighted to share the first in a series of videos showcasing the construction of a brand new Co-op convenience store in Whitfield on the outskirts of Dover. Co-op Property is expanding its convenience business and we're proud to support this growth by delivering a fantastic store to serve the local community.

Today I had the pleasure of launching 2 new Convenience stores, contributing to #NextLevelSainsburys strategy. Firstly, Horsham Crawley Road. The project involved the conversion and extension of a former car garage, delivering a 2.6ksqft scheme with 10 dedicated parking spaces. Strategically positioned to serve an affluent residential catchment, the store will also benefit from strong passing trade along Crawley Road – a key route into Horsham. All the best to Holly and her team as they navigate the first few days of trade. Secondly, West Ham TwelveTrees. This location is the first phase of us fulfilling our strategy to serve a large residential led development adjacent to West Ham Station (Underground and DLR) in the London Borough of Newham. 3.8k new homes will be delivered at completion. The store will serve the development’s initial phases and an underserved existing catchment which is connected by footbridge. We expect to relocate to our permanent unit, which is alongside a new dedicated station entrance, later in 2026. Tanvir and his team have a great new store to serve the new and future residents of this amazing ever growing development. We wish them all the best. We are proud to have completed the first in a number of shop refresh schemes for BP. The first being BP North End in West Sussex. These schemes involve coordinating the set-up of a pop-up store so BP can continue to trade whilst the main store is getting a makeover. The main store was completely stripped out and new flooring, ceilings, doors, sales shelving, ovens, chillers, AC units, toilets and coffee machines where installed. Externally, new fencing and gates were installed and the forecourt given a thorough pressure wash to leave the site sparkling ready for handover. Well done to our site team and all the contractors involved in this 4 week project. WSL have a number of site teams well versed in delivering high quality rollout schemes on schedule and to an exceptional standard – on to the next one!
