🌟 This morning, I had the pleasure of co-leading the Pan-Lancashire Enterprise Adviser Network Meeting at Shout Connect, Preston, on behalf of the Lancashire Careers Hub. A huge thank-you to everyone who attended and helped bring the conversation to life! The session was rich with insights, and it was energising to explore how EAs are stepping into an even more strategic role in preparing young people for the future workforce. 📋 Agenda Highlights: - The latest on the Gatsby Benchmarks and how they guide impactful careers education - Reimagining work experience through the Equalex Model—creating more inclusive and modern opportunities for learners - A deep dive into the Enterprise Advisers' evolving role in bridging the gap between education and employment - Group discussion around local challenges, collaboration, and how EAs can support the delivery of the work experience guarantee. - Wrapping up with a reminder of the benefits of completing the Employer Standards 🍩 All of this, powered by coffee, connections, and collaborative spirit. Pendle Borough Council has signed up to the Lancashire Skills Pledge for 2025. Organised by the Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub, businesses throughout the county are invited to sign up to the pledge and demonstrate outstanding commitment to inspire and develop the skills of local people. There are a total of nine pledges and, so far, Pendle Borough Council has pledged four, with a possible two more in the pipeline.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love being a Governor and Enterprise Adviser at Chadwick High School in Lancaster. It's so rewarding helping the students gain employability skills to open doors for them when they leave school.
