With more than 50 years in the transmission industry, Downer is proud to be at the forefront of delivering a path toward a low-carbon future that benefits communities and helps to enable a low emissions power supply for future generations. Customer focus starts with intent. Listening closely, anticipating evolving needs, and building trust through purposeful delivery – that’s how we create lasting value. This is the foundation of Principle #1: Customer Focus in Downer’s 10 Quality Principles. It reminds us that every decision we make should keep not just our customers, but their customers, in mind. And we don’t stop there. We’re continually challenging ourselves to do better – guided by Principle #10: Continuous Improvement. That means adapting to change, seeking feedback, and driving performance so we can deliver meaningful outcomes that help our customers and communities thrive. Because delivering value for our customers isn’t a milestone – it’s an ongoing commitment. Helene Toury-Dehan, Sunet Klopper, Lisa Fickling, Andrew Dickson, Paul Range, Georgina Smith

🚆 From Rail Yards to Backyards 🌿 Our Rail & Transit Systems team at Maryborough Service Delivery Centre recently implemented a simple shift, that is having a big impact. Working on a key project, the team identified an opportunity to rethink the waste from paint removal through sand blasting and adopt a more environmentally responsible approach to waste management. Instead of sending the used garnet waste compromising of sand mixed with corrosion and paint to landfill, the team have partnered with Burwell’s Garnet Waste Management Program, to recycle the waste and repurpose it into garden edging and retaining wall blocks 🧱🌱 This is a fantastic initiative from the team, showcasing a win for the environment, a win for circular economy thinking, and a strong example of how innovation can start anywhere! #DownerRail #DownerFreight #DownerRTS #sustainability #circulareconomy #localbusiness Usman Pervaiz, Tony Prove, Jean-Marc Chevaugeon, Vince Giglio, Caitlin Golder, Ricky Bridge, Todd Garvey, Burwell

Last week, Downer and Hawkins were proud to stand among the 54 founding members still active in the Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum, celebrating its 15th anniversary at Parliament. Since 2010, we’ve backed the belief that real change in health and safety starts at the top. What began with 94 CEOs has grown to 440, now representing organisations that directly employ 25% of Aotearoa New Zealand's workforce, with even more reached through their supply chains. That’s collective leadership in action! We’re honoured to be part of this journey alongside our industry peers and remain committed to building safer, healthier, and more thriving workplaces across New Zealand. Thank you to Stuart Chapman, Head of Zero Harm T&I NZ and Anthony Gaffney, New Business Manager, for representing Downer and Hawkins. #Downer #Hawkins #TransportAndInfrastructure #HealthAndSafety #LeadershipMatters #ThrivingWorkplaces #WorkSafeNZ Lyall Hedges Murray Robertson Craig West Peter Tompkins Craig Treloar

Downer is proud to support the Fraser Coast SES volunteers who work around the clock to keep our communities safe. Located close to our Torbanlea construction site, the Howard SES unit has received new equipment from Downer to support their 2025 operations, including towing mirrors, side awnings, solar blankets, pressure washer attachments and chairs for use in the field. The donation was handed over during a recent training night, where we also hosted a BBQ to thank the volunteers for their ongoing commitment to service. Recently, our Rail and Transit Systems team paused for STAR Day, an annual event to reflect, reset and refocus on safety 🌟 STAR stands for Stop, Think, Act, and Review. It’s a simple framework that helps us make safer, smarter decisions every day, whether at work or at home. Across the business, teams used STAR Day to take a clear look at our safety results, have honest conversations about what’s working and where we need to improve, and talk through the strategy for the year ahead. These discussions matter, they keep us focused and open to feedback, so we can keep lifting the standard. Across industry, if you’re seeking a fresh perspective on safety performance, our Safe+ Consulting Services can help. We offer services like cultural transformation, human factors integration and risk maturity assessments. If you're looking to shift from compliance to culture, we’re here to help 🤝Learn more: www.downergroup.com/scs #DownerRail #DownerRTS #Railsafety #Railsafetyconsulting #Safeplus #safetyconsultingservices Nick Mountford Brendan Poile Brett King Torben Fink-Jensen Todd Garvey Usman Pervaiz Mathew Dempsey Rebecca Blewitt Annemarie Bertoli Chris Bradley Troy Sparkman Perry Rossi Tony Prove
