Powering the future, together ⚡ We were proud to partner with this year’s Australian Clean Energy Summit, joining industry leaders and innovators driving the energy transition and decarbonisation to a smarter, cleaner future. Across two big days, we connected with the people and ideas shaping what’s next – and showcased how Symal is building the infrastructure to support it, from battery energy storage and wind farms to grid-scale delivery. Thanks to the Clean Energy Council for hosting another outstanding event, and to everyone who dropped by for a chat. We’re energised by the momentum and proud to be part of the journey. #BuildingBetterTogether #ACES #AustralianCleanEnergySummit #SYL Clean Energy Council Rob Mazniovski Matthew Gurney Tom Watterson Rian Calder Alex Duncan

Introducing Resolve 🎖️ At the heart of Symal’s recognition as a Veteran Employer of Choice is Resolve, our brand-new tailored veteran employment and transition program. Built by veterans, for veterans, Resolve is more than a pathway into construction. It’s a purpose-driven program offering tailored onboarding, veteran-led mentoring, flexible roles and real career growth across the entire Group. “Our Resolve program and recognition as a Veteran Employer of Choice strengthen our ability to grow our veteran workforce. It allows us to build on a culture shaped by shared values while supporting our broader Defence strategy," said Joe Bartolo, Group Managing Director. This is how we’re supporting veterans beyond the resume. This is how we’re building better together. 👉 Explore the Resolve program today: https://bit.ly/4l5mWKL

Great to see the Unyte team powering ahead with projects in Queensland! Well done team — exactly the kind of impact we love to see up north.
Big moves at Pimpama 💪🚜 Since March, we’ve been getting stuck into the City of Gold Coast's Pimpama Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade, helping double its capacity for the booming northern Gold Coast. We’re talking 40,000 cubic metres of material moved – that’s about 16 Olympic swimming pools – plus new sediment basins, subsoil drainage, no-fines concrete and managing all those tricky acid sulfate soils along the way. Stage 1 wraps up in August, and we’ll be back in early 2026 to finish the job with 7,500 cubic metres of backfill around the new structures. Go team! Doing what we do best. Celebrating connection, culture and community. 💛❤️🖤 At Symal, we’re committed to making a real difference in the communities we’re part of. More than a construction group, we’re doers - driving positive impact through action, relationships and shared experience. Our annual Kup Murri celebration for NAIDOC Week, led by Wamarra and supported across the Group - Unyte Sycle Searo - brings this to life. It’s where our values show up in action; listening, caring for our communities, embracing diverse thinking and leading meaningful change. Events like this help us pause, connect with culture and each other and reflect on the inclusive industry we’re working to build. This is what building better together looks like. 🎥 Watch the video to experience the heart of the day. 🌟 Coming together for our fifth annual Kup Murri 🌟 To mark NAIDOC Week, we gathered on Wadawurrung Country at Sycle HQ with our teams, families, friends and special guests - coming together in a powerful celebration of culture, connection and community. The day warmed up with energising didgeridoo beats by Ganga Giri, followed by traditional dance and storytelling from Dinawans Connection all the way from Wiradjuri country, NSW. We heard reflections on the significance of NAIDOC Week from parliamentary guests Libby Coker MP and Christine Couzens, and shared the beauty of basket weaving with WUDTJAMEEN sisters Georgia and Olivia, and proud Wiradjuri woman Katrina Heta. Then came the feast - an unforgettable Kup Murri prepared by Wamarra using traditional underground cooking methods. More than a meal, it was a moment to reflect, connect and honour the cultures that shape the country we live and work in. To everyone who joined us, thank you ❤️ Something special is on the way… stay tuned to experience it all. #NAIDOC2025 #NAIDOCWeek #TheNextGeneration #StrengthVisionLegacy #BuildingBetterTogether #BuildingBetterFutures #WeAreSymal #KupMurri Sheena Watt MP Melissa H. An evening of connection, learning, and empowerment ✨ Last month, our Women at Symal Networking Event brought together incredible women from every state, site and office for a night of learning, connection and celebration. We kicked off the evening with cocktails, flowers, and gift bags, setting the scene for two inspiring sessions ahead. 🌸 Megan Dickinson from The Live Life Whole Project led an interactive session on women’s health and wellbeing, reminding us of the importance of looking after ourselves, mind and body. 💰 Andrea McKenna and Shane McKenna from Aintree Group shared practical tips to build confidence in managing everyday financial decisions, empowering women to take control of their financial wellbeing. Together, we’re driving growth and paving the way for more women to thrive in construction at Symal! #WeAreSymal #BuildingBetterTogether #SYL #WomenInConstruction #Networking

Cultural conversations that move us forward ❤️ Working closely with Wamarra, we’ve created meaningful opportunities for our teams to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Our Cultural Awareness training, led by proud Yorta Yorta woman Seona James from Indigenous Cultural Connections Pty Ltd, happens every quarter and is an important part of our new starter onboarding. These face-to-face sessions explore Aboriginal histories, cultural practices and how we can bring respect and inclusion into everything we do, both on-site and in the office. They encourage honest reflections, respectful conversations and help us build a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard and valued. This ongoing learning is part of our commitment through the Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan, and we’re proud to keep taking the steps towards a more inclusive working environment. Built to serve. Ready to build. 🏅 Symal has been officially recognised by the Veteran Employment Program as a Veteran Employer of Choice. We’re creating a workplace where veterans feel supported, where their experience is valued and where career growth is more than just a goal. It’s something we’re actively investing in. Our partnership with Ironside Resources, a recruitment and labour hire agency focused on Defence Force veterans, helps open doors for veterans and connects us with the right people, with the right opportunities in construction. This is a meaningful step in our journey to support veterans and we’re looking forward to sharing more soon as we continue building a place where veterans can forge a long-term career.
