If you set a retention policy to retain and delete, how will an existing file be affected?
Hello, I asked to separate forums and Support people but received a different response so I just wanted to come here for some sanity check. Let's say you set up a new retention policy for SharePoint Online sites and site A already has a file that's created/uploaded 4 years ago. For the retention configuration, you chose Retain for 5 years, Based on Created, and Delete after the retention policy expires. Once this policy is applied today, will the existing file be deleted after 1 year or 5 years? Once this retention policy is applied, will that file be deleted after 1 years or 5 years? I just wanted to use the community who seemed to have users with real experience with Microsoft tools.126Views0likes3CommentsFor Retention Policy, if I set Retain + Delete, does it delete the original file/copy/both?
Hello, I am learning about Retention Policy for SharePoint Online and wanted to get a confirmation on this option below. Let's say I chose to retain for 10 years based on when it was created AND said Yes to "Do you want us to delete it after this time?" option. After 10 years, does it delete original files, copies that are generated in Preservation Hold Library, or both? This part was a bit confusing for me lol30Views0likes1CommentQuestion about Copilot Studio licensing...
Hello, I had few questions about Copilot Studio Tenant License and also its Copilot Studio User License, and any insights or confirmations would be great. We are trying to Question 1. I read on the documentation that Copliot Studio User License needs to be assigned to users to allow them to create Agents (after purchasing Copliot Studio Tenant License). Is this "User License" free to assign to users and is there a limit? Question 2. Can users with Copilot Studio User License create an Agent and published to this below Copliot Chat page? When publishing an Agent, can we only make it available to a group of users? My understanding is Agent's response made to any users will deduct from monthly 25,000 cap Question 3. In SharePoint Online, I know users with Microsoft 365 Copliot License will see this Copilot button at top-right corner and use Agents... Is it possible to create Agents and deploy to SharePoint Online sites under Copliot Studio Tenant/User License? If so, will users then see the same Copliot button and interact with Agents? Question 4. I have Microsoft 365 Copliot License and I love how it summarizes after a Teams meeting. If I remove that M365 Copliot License and get the company gets Copilot Studio Tenant License, will I still get a summary? What the hack is a "Microsoft 365 Copilot Bizchat"?
I am taking a training course on learn.microsoft and this word "Microsoft 365 Copilot Bizchat" just came out of nowhere... I went few slides/pages of the training course and even googled it but there is no definition or clarification of it either sigh... What is thatWhat's difference creating Agent from Copilot page vs from Copilot Studio -> Copilot for M365?
Hello, I am learning about Copilot and was very confused by these two different ways to do it. My understanding is both are "Declarative Agents" which lets the Microsoft 365 Copilot do the most heavy lifting. Method 1. First way is to go to Copilot page and clicking 'Create an Agent' w3 Method 2: Going to Copilot Studio -> Agents -> Copilot for Microsoft 365 -> New Agent (Couldn't find a screenshot) Q1. Anyway, first, I created an Agent using the first Method 1 above, and now I see it on the Copilot page under 'Agents' section. However, when I go to Copilot Studio -> Agents -> Copilot for Microsoft 365, I don't see that Agent there. Is this normal and intended? Q2. Is an Agent created using the Method 1 only available to people who have Copilot license? (as long as they are shared; I see options are only me, anyone in the organization, and specific users in the organization) Q3. Could you please confirm agents created using either way above are both "Declarative Agents"? Sorry for the newbie questions in advance... I took the course MS-4010 and reviewed several posts but still confusing...When I go to Microsoft Entra ID in Azure, why does it say that I (Owner) am an External?
Hello, I am new to Azure and have been learning about Microsoft Entra now using my personal Microsoft account. While I was browsing around, I went to Azure portal -> Microsoft Entra ID -> User. I see that I am the only user in the current directory (ex: "email address removed for privacy reasons" directory) which makes sense. However, what I am confused about is that I have User Principle Name as "microsoftsutdent123_outlook.com#email address removed for privacy reasons" (although I checked that I am a global admin). I really don't get what's happening and even if this is normal, and I did deploy a very basic web app using Azure App Service if that matters... Could someone please clarify why this is the case or is this an error?36Views0likes0CommentsRe: How do I make an Agent available to my team? Is it possible even if they have no license?
Hi RobOK I was able to add it to this 'Agents' section that i circled in Red. 1. First, on Teams app, I deleted the "app" for the Agent, which I previously added before by using See agent in Teams button in below screenshot). 2. I went back to Copliot Studio -> click Agents tab on the left -> Click your Agent -> Click Channels 3. Click Teams and Microsoft 365 Copliot button. 4. Click this See agent in Microsoft 365 button as shown in below screenshot. 5. Clicking See agent in Microsoft 365 button opened the Copliot page (ie. https://m365.cloud.microsoft) with a prompt to Add this agent. 6. Now, upon clicking Add button, the agent is created in this section I circled in Red below. Hope it works! p.s. Do ignore unmatching Agent name in the two screenshots i provided above. I copied them from Google Image since I am writing this on my personal computer which i have no access to Copilot Studio.16Views0likes0CommentsHow do I make an Agent available to my team? Is it possible even if they have no license?
Hi everyone, I have been learning Copilot and practicing for last few days. It's been fun and challenging (mainly due to different ways to create Agents) but have been getting used to it. However, I do have 2 questions I wanted to get a confirmation on. Question 1. I created and published an Agent using Copilot Studio page. How do I make it available in this 'Agents' section on the top right? Is it possible to make it available for myself for testing (production) then make it public for all of our team members? Question 2: Is it possible for team members without Copilot license to those agents too on this Copliot page above? I went to the agent i created/published on Copilot Studio, clicked Channels, and clicked 'Teams and Micorosft 365 Copliot' button. In there, I checked 'Make agent available in M365 Copliot' and saved + republished too but still not seeing it. I clicked 'See agent in Microsoft 365' which opened Copliot page and clicked 'Add' when it prompted me about the agent but nothing happened. I tried re-publishing as well but same result... Thank you very much in advance.
