  • We were delighted to recently sponsor a community seaside trip for 63 children from NLC High School in Huddersfield, where some children experienced the ocean for the first time. From the glorious weather to the first glimpse of the waves, it was a day full of fun and memories. We were proud to provide not just the transport, but also food and drinks to keep everyone fuelled for the adventure. Moments like these remind us how small gestures can make a big impact - and how important it is to give back to the communities around us. #CSR #TakingResponsibility

  • Net Zero Week at Dalkia UK was an opportunity to celebrate the progress we’re making, both in partnership with our clients and through our own Net Zero commitments. We raised funds for our charity partner, British Heart Foundation, by holding a prize draw for home energy-saving goodies and a hamper donated by measurable.energy, who's smart socket rollout at our Rutherglen office has helped cut energy use by 52% and carbon emissions by 49%. We also recognised innovative green initiatives through our Net Zero Awards and provided opportunities to increase people’s understanding of Net Zero via our e-learning platform, MyAcademy. We showcased information on the ECO4 government funding from Lewis Welch, whilst Clémence O'Connor (Hallier) and Mark McGonigle delivered Climate Fresk Workshops in our London and Glasgow offices. A highlight of the week was our Net Zero Webinar, where over 200 colleagues joined Benjamin Lemaitre, Ayesha Farooq, Lewis Welch, Richard Bell, Marcus Wyers and Mark McConigle to hear about progress on key topics including ISO 50001, supply chain engagement and current decarbonisation projects. We help clients decarbonise through delivering major infrastructure projects and also work hard to reduce our own carbon footprint. #NZWeek #EngagedEmployees #TogetherToNZ

  • Earlier this month our team in Scotland successfully completed the Ayrshire Hospice redevelopment project, South Ayrshire – an essential healthcare facility delivering free, high quality palliative care to the local community. The project involved the strategic retention of two original structures, while modernising and extending the hospice to enhance its facilities for patients and their families. Dalkia were responsible for the delivery of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, along with the integration of advanced fire and security systems, medical gas infrastructure and air conditioning systems. Our in-house design and engineering team provided end-to-end technical support, delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions that addressed on-site challenges whilst optimising the project timelines and budget efficiency. #CollaborativeTeam #AyrshireHospice #Healthcare

  • Recently, at the InfraRed Creating Better Futures Awards 2025, Dalkia Facilities, in partnership with Equitix Management Services (EMS), was honoured with two Golden Standard Awards for our contributions to the Salford and Wigan communities. The People Award celebrated our installation of a book vending machine at Moorside Primary, which was a fantastic addition that pupils can enjoy and we were delighted to hear it has boosted reading levels across the school. Strengthening community ties was at the heart of our initiative with Salford City FC, where we maintained the grounds and facilities to provide children from local PFI schools with a welcoming space to enjoy sports – an effort that earned us the Community Award. These awards speak to our core value of #TakingResponsibility and reflect our ongoing commitment to our partners and wider community. #TakingResponsibility

  • From golf pro to qualified electrician - Emma Weeks proves it’s never too late to change direction. To mark International Women in Engineering Day 2025, we’re sharing Emma’s inspiring journey into engineering. After a successful career as a professional golfer, Emma made the brave decision in her forties to retrain as an electrician. She joined Dalkia as an apprentice and went on to qualify with a Distinction. Emma’s story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to take a new path and that encouragement, determination, and the right support can open doors for more women in engineering. 📖 Read Emma’s full story: https://lnkd.in/gQWG_pnH #INWED25 #TogetherWeEngineer #BetterTogether
