Yesterday was an exciting day at NG Bailey - we launched Our Journey to 2030 – our new Groupwide business strategy! The response so far has been fantastic, with colleagues receiving a copy of the new strategy, our newly launched Ways of Working charter, along with a sweet treat, which included for some, a golden ticket! There was also some celebratory merchandise created and shared with teams across different parts of the business to mark the occasion. And with yesterday’s good weather the water bottles went down well! Our CEO, Jonathan Stockton, said: “‘Our Journey to 2030 is more than a strategy – it’s a shared vision for long-term success, built around our people. “Our ambition is to strengthen our position as leaders in the built environment and infrastructure services sectors by staying true to our values, embracing new opportunities, and continuing to innovate. Every colleague plays a vital role in our journey. We’re starting from a position of strength – and with the energy, expertise, and culture we’re building together, we’re ready to achieve even greater things.” #OurJourneyTo2030 #TeamNGBailey

🎉 Exciting news! We're delighted to share that CRASH, the UK construction industry charity, has recognised us as their Patron of the Month for July! This honour demonstrates our dedication to supporting the Bury Hospice project, which is due for completion this month, and highlights the fantastic volunteering efforts of Scott Newson, Work Winning Director, and Sharon Turner, Head of Social Value at CRASH fundraising events. We’re honoured to receive recognition from CRASH - Construction Industry's Charity for the work we do to support their mission. It means a great deal to us to be part of a cause that is making such a meaningful difference to the lives of others. Thank you for awarding NG Bailey the Patron of the Month award for July, and more importantly, for the great work that you do.

Last Friday, Andrew Jones, Head of Digital Maintenance & Asset Management in our Facilities Services business, spoke at CIBSE’s NABERS UK Building Owners event. The event gathered leading voices from across the built environment to discuss the latest developments in the NABERS UK (National Australian Built Environment Rating System) scheme. Andrew joined industry peers from MEPC, CBRE and ARUP to share a real-world case study on the NABERS journey at 11 & 12 Wellington Place in Leeds. 11 and 12 Wellington Place is officially recognised as one of the most sustainable office spaces in the UK, notably, the first outside London to achieve the industry-leading standard of five-star NABERS Design for Performance. Alongside CBRE, our Facilities Services business plays a key role in the operation, estate management, and maintenance of these high-performing buildings. Through close collaboration, proactive energy monitoring, and data-driven optimisation, we are working towards the delivery of a five-star NABERS Energy in Use rating at 11 and 12 Wellington Place. Andrew Jones said: “A key theme for the event was the importance of collaboration across the industry, between building owners, designers, property managers, facilities and energy management specialists and occupiers, all of whom play a key role in achieving optimal and sustainable building performance. Our case study for 11 and 12 Wellington Place demonstrated what can be achieved when all key stakeholders work together seamlessly from design through to operation.” #CIBSE #NABERSUK

This summer, colleagues are embracing our season of giving by supporting the local communities and causes close to our hearts. Last week, our London Facilities Services team took time out of their day to tap into their creativity and craft heartfelt cards for Cards for Bravery - a remarkable charity dedicated to uplifting the spirits and supporting the emotional wellbeing of hospitalised and seriously ill children, young people, and their families across the UK. The charity provides thoughtful resources including handmade cards, care packages, activity packs, and more - all designed to bring comfort and joy during difficult times. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, and to Cards for Bravery for the incredible work they continue to do.
