When this squad wins, we all win!!! 🏆 Congratulations to the Lionesses! 🏆 Throughout the tournament, the Lionesses have shown unwavering confidence and determination, leading us to a well-deserved victory this evening. Our "Everyone Needs a Squad" campaign highlights the power of team sports in building resilience in young girls, something the Lionesses have demonstrated in abundance. England’s inspiring performances are set to have a lasting impact on young girls across the country, reflected in the incredible engagement with EE’s campaign. EE’s mission is to use the power of connection for good, helping young people build community and confidence through football, and better navigate the pressures of the online world. This summer, the Lionesses showed us exactly how this is done. Thank you, Lionesses, for a brilliant Euros tournament. We at EE are so proud of you!

Football builds confidence - on and off the pitch. As lead partner of the Home Nations Football Associations, EE has launched new research with leading adolescent psychologist Dr Sheila Redfern PhD, revealing how being part of a football community reduces the negative impact social media can have on teenage girls’ self-esteem and confidence. • 93% of girls aged 13-18 who are involved in football say it boosts their confidence • 69% feel a stronger sense of belonging • 57% report increased positivity The findings form part of Everyone Needs a Squad - EE’s latest campaign, fronted by England legend and mum of two Kelly Smith, and featuring players from across the Home Nations and grassroots football. To support the campaign, we’ve launched EE Squad - a new online platform where girls can discover local football opportunities, build confidence with EE LearnSmart, and hear inspiring stories from players across the game.
