  • Reimagining Secure Environments – Together We were delighted to support Wates Group in welcoming senior leaders from the Ministry of Justice UK and HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) to the HMP Gartree 2 site, a landmark project that’s shaping the future of secure environments. Hosted by Wates Chairman Tim Wates and CEO Eoghan O'Lionaird, this collaborative briefing and site tour highlighted the power of innovation, long-term thinking, and strong partnerships. Representing MadiganGill Logistics were Dermot Gill, Tony Ball, Paul Manning and Iulian Rotaru, part of the team helping to make this ambitious build a success on every front. This is not only our largest logistics project to date, but also one that demonstrates how modern logistics planning can deliver community benefits too from reduced disruption via vehicle tracking to creating local employment opportunities. We’re proud to have featured in the official video and even prouder to be delivering value on a build of such national significance. Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming senior leaders from the Ministry of Justice UK and HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) to the Gartree 2 site. Hosted by our Chairman, Tim Wates and CEO, Eoghan O'Lionaird, the visit was a chance to share how we’re reimagining the future of secure environments – with innovation, collaboration, and long-term social value at the core. From a project update on delivery progress and confidence, to a behind-the-scenes tour with Careys showcasing Safeshield technology in action, the day brought our shared vision to life. Guests also met key partners including The Mick George Group and MadiganGill, who are helping shape this vitally important build. A huge thank you to everyone involved! • 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙇𝙤𝙣𝙜-𝙏𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 At MadiganGill, we do appreciate that having a skilled colleague is always an asset, but when someone stays with us for the long haul, their value grows beyond just the job they do. Long-term colleagues bring not only their expertise, but also the opportunity to help others, share their knowledge, and strengthen the sense of trust and teamwork that we pride ourselves on. This month, Danny Madigan paid a visit to the Gascoigne Phase 3 site in Barking, where we’re delivering a comprehensive logistics package for Wates Group. His visit provided an opportunity to see the operation in action and personally thank one of our longest-serving team members, Crane Supervisor Roy Cocks, for his continued dedication and outstanding contributions. Roy has been with MadiganGill for an incredible 11 years, spending seven of those working on various Telford Homes projects, as well as contributing to BAM UK & Ireland, Hill Partnerships, and St George PLC sites. His commitment to quality and safety has made him a trusted presence on site and an example to others. Roy has built a reputation that speaks for itself; his managers regularly praise him as someone they can rely on. As one put it: “He’s always on time and we can trust him to work safely - every time.” That kind of reliability and professionalism doesn’t just make projects run smoothly; it inspires confidence in the whole team and helps foster the kind of culture we strive for at MadiganGill. We’re fortunate to have many colleagues who’ve been with us for over a decade, and as Danny says, “Having people like Roy, who we can rely on, makes the job easier, and our projects run smoother, which is why I want to get out there and thank our other long-serving colleagues personally.” If you’re looking for a career where your contribution is valued for the long term, take a look at our opportunities: https://lnkd.in/esYHK9xv #madigangill #careersinconstruction #DannyMadigan #teamwork #themadigangillway

  • Supporting extraordinary care for extraordinary children At MadiganGill, we’re proud to support worthwhile charities alongside our clients - helping make a real difference in the community. This month, our construction recruitment team from MadiganGill Resource joined forces to make a formidable 5-a-side team. They took to the pitch in Shoreditch in support of Demelza Charity, an incredible organisation that provides care and support for children with serious or life-limiting conditions, providing expert clinical care and helping to create extraordinary moments along the way. On a scorching day with temperatures soaring above 30°C (and a blazing black astro pitch beneath us), our team battled hard, making it out of the group stage - though not quite to the final. Vicki Burns from GPF Lewis plc, who helped organise the tournament, kindly thanked us for our donation and participation, saying: "We really appreciate your support and are delighted you joined us for the tournament." Thank you to GPF Lewis for organising such a fantastic event, bringing the industry together for a brilliant cause. As always, we remain committed to supporting our clients and the communities we work in - on and off the field. This Plastic Free July™, MadiganGill is proud to continue our support to reduce single-use plastics and promote more sustainable construction practices. We remain totally committed to making a positive environmental impact across our projects, from sourcing ‘no single-use plastic’ products where possible, to actively reducing waste streams on site. A key part of our efforts is our closed-loop recycling scheme with Protec Temporary Protection and Powerday, which has already diverted around 40 tonnes of used Correx from landfill. The collected sheets are shredded, washed, and remanufactured for reuse – preventing over 200m³ of plastic waste and saving an estimated 135 tonnes of CO₂e. We’re proud to be rolling this out across all sites where we manage waste, and we remain committed to building a cleaner, greener future. • 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆⁣ This month, our Midlands team was proud to represent MadiganGill Resource at the launch of the latest chapter in the Skills People Group/Nottingham Skills Academy training programme, a fantastic initiative dedicated to upskilling talent for the construction industry. We were delighted to hear that our team at Beaufort Park have been recognised for being consistently hard working, demonstrating a high level of professionalism on site, being proactive and for having a collaborative attitude - and as a result each of them received a St George Green Card Award. This was extra special as there was five awards given to our Logistics team - Vasile Grigore, Gheorghe Aron, Jasdeep Singh, Firel Ganea and Seán Hegarty by Daniel Higgins MCIOB, David Seeley, and Rebecca Wells-Persell - all from St George PLC. A huge thank you to them all for their efforts and Rance Wilson, Logistics Contract Manager commented “we are very pleased for all of them as so often - although our people provide a great service it’s mostly accepted as just the way we operate. So gaining this recognition is not only well deserved - it was very much appreciated by all of us”. • We love getting involved in our community, and especially hearing back from those we support makes it even more rewarding! A big thank you to Fulham Irish GAA for the shoutout on ‘X’ and for letting MadiganGill be part of their incredible journey. As one of the youngest GAA clubs in London, their youth teams are growing fast, and we’re proud to back them all the way. Our very own Dermot Gill recently presented sponsored kit bags to coach Cathal Turley, saying: “We’re proud to support a club that brings Gaelic football and hurling to families right here in London!” Want to learn more about the amazing work Fulham Irish are doing? https://fulhamirishgaa.com #MadiganGill #SupportingTheCommunity #FulhamIrishGAA #GaelicFootball

  • HELPING AVOID GOOD FOOD GOING TO WASTE Last week, we were excited to get involved in volunteering with Plan Zheroes at Borough Market, which involved collecting surplus food that hasn’t sold and that is still perfectly good to eat from the market traders, and made it ready for local charities and community groups – providing good-quality meals and delicious ingredients to those in need. Deliveries are also made by bike to a few local shelters. Volunteers included our very own Paul Manning - Senior Regional Contracts Manager from MadiganGill Logistics, who joined the rest of the team to support this great zero-food waste cause. A big thank you to Luciana Campos - Senior Social Value and Community Manager from Multiplex and the New Zealand House team, who organised this.
