I am very lucky in my role to meet lovely people and to be able to show them around The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust Liverpool Hospital, so that they can learn all about our amazing Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and the invaluable, supportive work that we do, thanks to our fundraisers. Today we welcomed Stuart Capstick from Glenville Walker to our centre for a tour, and a chat about the charitys' commitment to supporting local people with cancer, by helping to fund research into cures and therapies, advances in technology, and enhancing the patient experience. Thank you Stuart for your time and interest! 💚 🚪 💚 🚪 💚

A huge shoutout and THANK YOU to the incredible women’s squad at Tarvin AFC! ⚽ 💚 They wrapped up their 2024/25 season in the most inspiring way—by donating their team fines pot, totalling £250, to their chosen charity: Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Your support means the world to us and will help make a real difference to local people and their families affected by cancer. 💡 Are you part of a sports team? Why not turn your team's mischief into something meaningful? Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, or anniversary — you can make your celebration even more meaningful by supporting life-saving cancer care and research. In April, Ian celebrated his milestone 60th birthday with a surprise party organised by his wife, Pat. Instead of gifts, Pat invited guests to donate to Clatterbridge — setting up a card table with a collection bucket and a Facebook fundraiser. Pat has been living with metastatic breast cancer for 6.5 years and remains stable thanks to the exceptional care at Clatterbridge. With friends and family also receiving treatment at our centres, supporting the charity felt like the perfect way to give back. Together, they raised an incredible £928 — a heartfelt gift that will help others facing cancer. 💚 Visit https://lnkd.in/eNRiKUWy to register your special occasion with so we can help make it extra special!

In 2019, Alan was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thanks to the incredible care he received — including radiotherapy at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Aintree, hormone therapy — and ongoing support from Clatterbridge, he’s now cancer free. 💚 Alan supports local people affected by cancer by playing our weekly lottery and recently won our £1,000 guaranteed jackpot, and he had this powerful message to share: “Can I just say to the men — if you have any sort of symptoms, go get it checked. It’s treatable. I cannot thank Clatterbridge enough — they are brilliant.” By playing our Clatterbridge Lottery, you’re not just in with a chance to win every week — you’re helping fund life-saving cancer care and support for people like Alan. ✨ Play today for just £1 a week and help make more stories like Alan’s possible: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eKipWYsE

Are we using this picture of Louis the Dog to get your attention? Maybe... We just wanted to say thank you to Zircomwho have chosen Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as their Charity of the Year! 💚 Not only that, but the amazing team – joined by their four-legged friend Louis the dog 🐾 – recently took part in the Wirral Coastal Walk to show their support! Zircom told us: "We want to help make a difference to the communities we live and work in. Some of the team at Zircom have been personally affected by the dreaded C word, so it was about standing in solidarity with the individuals, families and caregivers affected in the region."
