Hi network, Last week, 7th to 11th July, I had the privilege of gaining work experience with Tritax Big Box Developments in Northampton. It was an incredibly insightful and rewarding week where I had the opportunity to meet various teams across the business, learn about their roles, and receive invaluable career advice. As part of the experience, I was given a case study to assess the viability of a potential development project. I worked on this throughout the week and presented my findings to two of the company’s directors on the final day. The one-to-one conversations I had with different team members were especially helpful in shaping my understanding, and being able to apply what I had learned into a real-world scenario and deliver it in a presentation format was a hugely valuable learning experience. In addition, I went on two site visits, one to Kettering, where I shadowed the Development team during a Section Completion process, and another to Rugby to tour a completed project. Both visits gave me a hands-on perspective of how developments are delivered from start to finish. A special thank you to Will Oliver, Michelle Steele and Linda Edwards for organising this fantastic opportunity, and to the wider Tritax Big Box team for being so welcoming and providing such a well-rounded introduction to the industry. Looking forward to applying everything I have learned as I take the next steps in my career!

🚴♂️ Challenge complete! Huge congratulations to William Richardson and Ollie Newman for completing the Le Loop challenge—cycling 387km with 9,450m of elevation over three tough stages of the Tour de France route. There were steep climbs, sore legs, and some very memorable post-ride photos— all in support of a brilliant cause. Funds raised will go to WWMT, helping disadvantaged young people to fulfil their potential and stay away from crime.
