Beautifully crafted multi faith cabinets are now in place at WHH – offering comfort, support and inclusivity. Created by the Benchmark team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and funded by Warrington and Halton Hospitals Charity the cabinets hold holy texts, prayer cards, and resources from multiple faiths. A wonderful step toward more inclusive spiritual care.
“These cabinets are a sign that every person’s beliefs and values are recognised and respected.” That’s how Paul Klein, Chaplain at WHH, describes the new multi faith cabinets now available at both Warrington and Halton Hospitals. Crafted from solid oak and placed in chapel and prayer rooms, the cabinets hold holy texts, prayer cards and faith resources – offering comfort when it’s needed most. They were created by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust’s Benchmark team who supports people living with a mental health condition through creative, skills-based projects. David Lowery, Workshop Manager at Benchmark, said: “Our hope is that the cabinets will bring reassurance and practical support to anyone who needs it.” Funded by WHH Charity, the cabinets are helping make spiritual care more accessible and inclusive – for everyone.
