🌱 Day 1 at the Australian Clean Energy Summit is done, and what a buzz it’s been (and not just from the coffee)! ☕ As a proud sponsor of the Clean Energy Council's event at Sydney's ICC, we've listened, learned, and engaged in meaningful discussions with industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers who are shaping the future of clean energy in Australia. It’s been great to hear the renewed confidence and focus on progressing the energy transition from the Hon. Penny Sharpe, Minister for Climate Change, following the federal election results earlier this year. “Alignment of federal and state governments on both the "what" and the "how" of the transition over the next four years is so important in supporting the discernible progress in project planning and delivery. I believe the future is bright and the 2032 target is looking increasingly more achievable,” said Mark Cadman, Director of Emerging Markets for Gamuda. If you’re attending tomorrow, swing by for a coffee on us and a chat about how we can build a cleaner future, together. 🌱⚡ David May Frank Jansen Gabriel Malki Andrew Wilson John Bergantino Mark McEnearney Ben Pitt #ACES2025 #CleanEnergy #GamudaAustralia #EnergyTransition #FutureFocused #Collaboration #Sustainability #NetZero #Renewables

On the M1 Pacific Motorway extension, waste isn’t wasted, it’s transformed. Our John Holland Gamuda Australia joint venture team is setting new standards in recycling and reuse, with more than 160,000 tonnes of excavated soil repurposed to help build the new Heatherbrae bypass. With a goal to avoid landfill disposal, here is how the team is exceeding its recycling targets: ♻️ Recycling 99.9% of non-hazardous construction waste and exceeding the 95% construction waste diversion target 🌱 Reusing more than 1,800,000 tonnes of soil on-site 🛣️ Reclaiming and reusing more than 3,500 tonnes of asphalt locally and on site 🗑️ Diverting over 67% of office waste from landfill “The question isn’t what are we recycling, but what aren’t we recycling,” said John Holland Gamuda Australia joint venture Senior Sustainability Advisor Claire Macpherson. “Everything from soft drink cans to concrete waste and tree root balls is finding a new lease of life,” she added. Such a powerful demonstration of the M12RT project’s commitment to sustainability and how innovative partnerships can minimise environmental impact while supporting local industries. Turning waste into wins! Great work to everyone involved for setting the bar high for sustainable construction. #GlobalExpertise #LocalDelivery #Gamuda #M1R2T #Construction #Infrastructure #TransportforNSW 📸 Photo credit: Recycle Central Waste Management

🚦Traffic is switching and progress is accelerating on the Coffs Harbour Bypass.🚦 New sections of road for the Coffs Harbour Bypass are now open to traffic, marking a significant milestone and giving motorists their first drive on parts of the 14-kilometre for the project. The Gamuda Australia and Ferrovial team successfully implemented major traffic changes on the Pacific Highway in Korora and Boambee. Opening the new sections of road is part of the staged approach which has allowed construction to start in new areas for the project. Pacific Highway northbound traffic has temporarily moved onto new lanes between Charlesworth Bay Road and Campbell Close at Korora to allow for works on the previous Pacific Highway northbound lanes in preparation for further traffic switches. Meanwhile at Boambee the New England Road Interchange is partially open to Pacific Highway motorists and local traffic to allow for construction on the new southbound lanes and southbound on ramp in this area. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys and potentially allow more travel time. #Gamuda #GamudaAustralia #GlobalExpertise #LocalDelivery #Infrastructure #Transport #Roads Transport for NSW

They’re long, they’re heavy, and they are absolutely critical. 🏗️ A total of 404 girders have now been installed on the M1 extension to Raymond Terrace Black Hill to Tomago section, marking a major milestone for the project. This halfway mark signals substantial progress by the John Holland and Gamuda Australia Joint Venture team delivering the southern section of the M1 extension. The M1 project team are thrilled that more than half of the 791 girders required to complete the Black Hill to Tomago section have now been installed, including more than half of those required for the 2.6-kilometre elevated viaduct over the Hunter River and surrounding flood plain. These girders are not your average beams. Each one can stretch up to 44 metres and weigh a whopping 105 tonnes, which is the equivalent of about 70 cars! 🚗 Precision planning and expert coordination have ensured these giant components are transported and installed safely with minimal disruption. Even better, every single girder has been proudly manufactured in Tomago and Teralba, boosting local employment, maintaining high-quality standards, and reducing transport costs. This milestone marks visible progress on the viaduct and marks a significant step closer to improved traffic flow and connectivity across the Hunter Region. #GamudaAustralia #JohnHolland #M1Extension #HunterInfrastructure #EngineeringExcellence #Gamuda #RoadsInfrastructure
