Tuesday 29 July will mark a year since the tragic incident in Southport. There will be a three minute silence at 3pm tomorrow, which will be recognised by ourselves, Sefton Council, and other public bodies and we ask everyone to take part, wherever possible. As ever, please be reminded that support is available for anyone who may need it on the Sefton Council support page: https://lnkd.in/diVFB2bb
Lovely wall art created by our fabulous students Chelsea, Andrew, Kayleigh, Amy and Jade on Meadowbank Ward! Meadowbank is an assessment and treatment ward for people living with dementia, and this beautiful meadow scene will be updated each week with the things our patients have enjoyed, helping to share special moments with visiting families. A big thank you to this wonderful group of students and best of luck as you start your new roles as staff nurses 💙

We did it! Congratulations to our First Response Service who have been highly commended at the Health Service Journal Digital Awards in the ‘Improving Urgent and Emergency Care through Digital’ category. The judges celebrated CWP’s Digital Care Coordination Tool, which is transforming the way mental health crisis care is being delivered locally. The tool helps our teams map patients to appropriate on duty staff and prompts a swift response to mental health crises. The initiative ultimately aims to boost crisis response efficiency, improve patient outcomes and ensure our motto of “right place, right time, right people” is consistently applied. We are proud to have colleagues who are driving forward excellence and transformation in the NHS for patients and their families. Gemma, CWP Lived Experience Volunteer reflects: "When you go to A&E for something mental health-related, it’s usually a last resort, you don’t expect it to be a very positive experience. So, anything that reduces the waiting time and helps you get the right help sooner is really reassuring. Knowing this tool is in place means you wouldn’t have to wait as long to get the support you need."

At Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust we’re actively exploring how we can better recruit and support Care Leavers and members of the Armed Forces Community - two groups with incredible resilience, adaptability, and life experience. But we know that this requires more than good intentions - it takes the right support, partnerships, and learning from those who’ve done it well.. 🌟 Have you seen great examples of organisations recruiting and supporting these groups effectively? 🌟What best practices can you share? 🌟 Are there any organisations, charities or initiatives we should be connecting with? We’re keen to build on what works, whether that’s adapting recruitment processes, offering mentoring, or co-designing support pathways. If you’ve got advice, links, or lessons learned, I'd love to hear from you. #InclusiveHiring #Veterans #CareLeavers #CWP #NHS #RecruitmentBestPractices #SocialImpact #NHSRecruitment #ArmedForcesFriendly #CareExperience #VeteranAware
