The government's new Life Sciences Sector Plan highlights the critical role of the Health Innovation Network. It calls for stronger support to help us do more of what we do best: partnering with innovators and the NHS to develop, test and scale solutions to real challenges. Here are four examples of that in action. 👇 See more in our 2024/25 impact report: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eX-dUxWK

Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley reposted this
It was a pleasure to attend the @ABHI Annual Parliamentary Reception last week, along with our Chair Peter Ellingworth, who also leads the ABHI. The event celebrated the vital role that HealthTech plays in improving lives and supporting the NHS. It was a timely opportunity to highlight the importance of women’s HealthTech and the impact it can have in tackling health inequalities. I enjoyed catching up with colleagues across the system, including Professor Chris Whitty, and hearing powerful reflections on transformation, equity and innovation across the NHS. Grateful to ABHI for bringing together such a broad cross-section of leaders, clinicians and innovators, and for championing a HealthTech future that works for everyone.

The government has set out its 10-year health plan, with three big strategic shifts at its heart: 1️⃣ Prevention first 2️⃣ Strengthening primary and community care 3️⃣ Harnessing digital and data These priorities are not new. But turning them into real-world change takes action as well as ambition. We’ve been working with the NHS and innovators for over a decade to do just that. In this blog, our CEO Professor Gary Ford shares examples where we’re already helping to deliver these shifts - from AI-powered diagnostics to virtual wards. If you’re working on a solution the NHS needs, this is your moment. 🔗 Read the blog: https://lnkd.in/ehiu5wU2
