A HUGE thank you to all at Furness Building Society for the continued support of our work! ❤️🙏 They recently handed over a fantastic donation of £10,198.33 - a gift from their own funds, but the total was based on the collective total savings over the last 12 months held by customers who have chosen to link their Furness Building Society Community Account to us. We are one of a number of local good causes that account holders can opt to support when they sign up for their account 🤗 Kate Bethell, manager of Preston’s city centre branch, said: “We’re delighted to continue to support Rosemere Cancer Foundation through our Community Account. “We are part of the same Lancashire and South Cumbria community served so well by Rosemere Cancer Foundation and we hope this payment can help it continue its great work.” With this year’s donation, and over the 15 years since it launched its Rosemere Community Account, Furness Building Society has donated an incredible £317,688 to us, to help us continue to support life-changing local cancer projects for patients across the region. Thank you to all at Furness, and to all of the Furness Community Account holders who chose to have their accounts linked to us to result in this wonderful total! 🙌🌹 #csr #corporatesocialresponsibility #rosemerecancerfoundation

A huge thank you to the pupils from class 11A at Astley Park School, Chorley, who have raised £747 for us (and £373 for the school’s Nurturing Futures fund) by taking part in a sponsored 5km run! ❤️ 🙌 The students, this summer’s leavers, were joined by some members of staff and cadets from Chorley’s MPCT Military Academy, who have supported them in their training over the last eight weeks. Run organiser and teaching assistant (and regular Rosemere supporter) Julie Banks said: “Well done 11A. Be very proud. This has been a huge challenge for all of us. We cannot say thank you enough to all of the people, who have supported us throughout the process, to those who came and cheered us as we ran and those that gave generously through their sponsorship.” 🥰 Last year, the class raised £200 for us by taking part in an end of term colour dash around the school playing field while the year before, senior students donated £600 when they participated in a sponsored triathlon. Julie and her sons Ethan and Aidan also raised a whopping £19,000 for us in 2023 through a 100km cycle ride from their home village of Croston to Anfield and back to celebrate the life of husband and dad Shaun, who they had sadly lost the year before to bladder cancer. Thank you so much for the continued support, Julie, and a huge well done to 11A! 🤗 👏
