  • At PfP, we’ve proudly supported The British Citizen Award (BCA) since it was founded just over a decade ago. Established to recognise ‘ordinary people doing extraordinary things’, the BCAs, also known as The People’s Honours, shine a light on selfless individuals making a lasting impact in their Communities - aligning with everything we stand for as an organisation. Last week marked the 22nd award ceremony, held at the House of Lords, where 26 truly inspirational and humbly brilliant People were honoured for their efforts. Will Loughnane, our Chief Commercial Officer, had the privilege of presenting awards. Among the honourees was Craig McMurrough, who lost his sister to ovarian cancer and now runs races dressed as an ovary to raise awareness and thousands of pounds for research - a powerful example of turning personal tragedy into Community impact. 💙 #BecauseCommunityMatters #CommunityHeroes #LocalHeroes #BCA #MakingADifference

🥇 Yesterday, the BCA recognised 26 selfless individuals from all around the UK that have been making a difference to their communities, for many years and often decades. At the Palace of Westminster, the room was filled with people who champion multiple causes and we had the opportunity to share their stories and thank them for their dedication to others. By honouring these very special individuals with The British Citizen Award (BCA) they are recognised as outstanding citizens making a significant positive impact on society. Now, more than ever, we need to put the unity back into community, and BCA medalists personify this and have done so for the past 10 years. This unique recognition amplifies their good causes to create a virtuous circle. The 26 recipients, who between them have committed a combined total of 226 years to their causes, were responsible for positively impacting no fewer than 470,000 people’s lives, and between them are responsible for raising over £1.5million. Many of our Sponsors and partners have been with us for multiple years, with Places for People and Specsavers supporting the BCA since we launched in 2015, for which they have our utmost gratitude. Novus Property Solutions joined us for our 10th anniversary and we are honoured to partner with organisations that hold community and giving back at the core of their organisation. One Stop Stores Ltd have been our headline partner for seven years now and we truly value these very special relationships. A huge thank you to the team at Tigerbond who enable us to share these inspirational stories with regional and national press and Procter & Gamble for their online support. As we embark on our second decade, we have some ambitious plans to execute, and exciting opportunities to share. If you would like to know more and be a part of this unique programme, please get in touch info@britishcitizenawards.co.uk We will be sharing all 26 medalist stories over the coming weeks and we hope you enjoy reading about these outstanding people who really do go above and beyond. #thepeopleshonours #bca2025 #stepupstandout #communitymatters #charitycomms #csr

  • Following the incredible success of their DIY SOS: Big Build, Getaway Girls have begun a redevelopment of an additional site, a four-storey building in the heart of Harehills. The vision? To create a safe, open, and inspiring space for vulnerable girls and young women - complete with a dedicated workshop area and on-site support services. Jo Love has beautifully designed a warm and inclusive interior, while the garden will be rejuvenated by Hampton Court Partner, as a calm, green retreat. 🎨🌿 From project managing and creating the plans to sourcing support from contractors, it's our pleasure to be a part of this project. ⚒️ 🎥 Watch the video for a sneak peek of the space we're transforming. Can you help us bring our vision to life? We're still looking for contractors to volunteer their skills and time to support the refurbishment. If this could be you, please email leedsinfo@placesforpeople.co.uk. #GetawayGirls #RenovationJourney #Leeds #Harehills #BecauseCommunityMatters

We might have a lot of structural work to take care of first but we can’t deny the interiors are the ‘fun’ bit 🤪🤩⁣ We're bringing this incredible project to life with the support of Places for People and LOVE Jo Love, but we still need contractors and tradespeople to help do the heavy lifting! (Quite literally...) Thanks to Georgie Kay, Alex, Liza Scholefield, Russ and Ian at Places for People for their work in bringing everything together, project managing, sourcing support from contractors and creating all the plans, and Jo Love and Susan at LOVE for all of the interior and landscape design to come! ⁣ #leedslife #diysos #seacroft #harehills #getawaygirls #leedscharity #renovation #renovationjourney

  • What a weekend at the UK Corporate Games! 👏 From dragon boating and netball, to bowling and golf - our incredible PfP team brought the energy and team spirit to Leeds over four packed days. More than just a sporting event, the Games are a brilliant reminder of the power of movement, camaraderie, and stepping outside your comfort zone. We’re proud to champion healthy, inclusive Communities - both in the places we serve and right here within our organisation. A huge thank you to 85 of our People who took part and those who supported behind the scenes and cheered us on! 🏅🙌 #UKCorporateGames2025 #TeamPfP #WellbeingAtWork

  • Community is not just what we do, it's who we are - and this extends to our own working Community! With a Community of over 13,000, it is important to create a culture of mutual respect, where everyone feels empowered to Do The Right Thing, Always. Our Chief Executive Officer, Greg Reed, recently chatted with Asif Choudry on the commsHERO podcast about his use of social media and internal communications to lead by example and create an open culture where everyone’s voice is valued. Greg discussed the importance of internal communications in uniting our widespread and diverse team, which collectively drives our shared values. Our recent company Big Livestream brought this to life like nothing else, with over 500 People joining Greg and our leaders for the livestream, 1,065 regional watch parties, and thousands more tuning in online. Hear more about Greg’s unique perspective and how we do things a little differently here at PfP: https://lnkd.in/epcxuDkq #InternalCommunications #CommsHero #CompanyCulture

  • Building homes and serving Communities 🏘️ Inside Housing's Biggest Builders’ Survey 2025 deep dives into how the sector is responding to the Government’s challenge of building 1.5 million new homes. At PfP, we're committed to developing new homes based on local needs and offering a multi-tenure approach. For many years, we have topped the survey with the biggest pipeline in the sector. This year, we’ve gone one better and have moved from second to first place for the number of new starts on site. We also started more family homes than any other housing association - over double the number delivered by the next closest, with more than half being three-bed-plus homes. Group Managing Director, Andrew Usher shared: “We’ve worked hard to make sure we’re structuring new opportunities in the best way possible, to make sure that the finite resource that we have can really be utilised to spread the reach of what we’re doing as far as possible. " Our next goal is to maintain momentum - from urban dwellings to new towns - we'll keep delivering thriving Communities. #UKHousing #NewTowns #Development #BecauseCommunityMatters

  • It’s no secret that we’re passionate about creating a workplace where all our People can thrive - regardless of gender. That's why we're thrilled to share that we've been named today among the UK's Best Workplaces for Women 2025 by Great Place To Work! 🎉 We've climbed seven places from last year to position 28 - real progress we're incredibly proud of. A huge thank you to our Gender Community group whose regular meetings, webinars, and open conversations continue to raise awareness and inspire meaningful change. #UKBestWorkplaces #WorkplaceForWomen #APlaceForEveryone #BecauseCommunityMatters

  • What an incredible day yesterday celebrating diversity, inclusion, and belonging at Leeds Pride - the rain certainly didn't dampen our joy! As the UK’s leading Social Enterprise, our purpose is to create #APlaceForEveryone - a commitment that also extends to our People internally as we take pride in building a workplace where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to be their true selves. Thank you to our People who attended along with their families and are captured in these vibrant snapshots of the day. 📸 #LeedsPride2025 #LGBTQInclusion #DiversityAndInclusion #WeAreCommunity
