Great fun yesterday at the Thames Water Raft Race in aid of WaterAid! It was a day of friendly competition and great sporting spirit, bringing together clients, partners and contractors from across the industry. We were proud to support our clients Galliford Try and MWH Treatment with their raft deliveries and builds, while our rowers Maria Johanna Saint Jean , Gina Rouse and Tezlyn Naidoo represented Hercules on the Galliford Try raft, alongside GHD. Congratulations to Barhale Ltd for their fantastic raft designs and for taking the winning title! Yesterday, subcontractors working with Balfour Beatty plc at M25 Junction 10 – including Hercules PLC, EQUANS, L Lynch Plant Hire & Haulage and Ellie Chapman, came together to support our neighbours at Ockham Parish Council. Last Tuesday, five of our head office colleagues rolled up their sleeves for a rewarding volunteering day with the RSPCA North Wiltshire and Newbury District Branch. First stop was the Rspca Charity Shop, where they helped sort, tag and prepare donated items for the shop floor, making a real difference to a vital local resource. Afterwards, the team visited the RSPCA Oak & Furrows Wildlife Centre, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at animals in care and supported the centre by cleaning and refreshing the fox dens, from sanitising food bowls to replenishing them with clean food and water. Along the way, they learned about animal welfare, conservation, and the day-to-day challenges faced by rescue teams, a hands-on experience with a powerful mission. A huge thank you to our fantastic volunteers: Courtney Parkins, Amy Lewis, Sarah Lenihan, Tezlyn Naidoo and Jennifer Samuels 👏 And special thanks to our Operations Coordinator Alessia Poto for organising this inspiring day!
