👏 Celebrating community kindness in Colchester During a challenging callout in soaring temperatures in June, four-year-old Stanley Dunmore handed out ice lollies to paramedics and firefighters outside his home. His thoughtful gesture was a morale boost for crews working in 28°C heat and earned him a special visit to Colchester Ambulance Station from EEAST and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service. Stanley’s compassion is a reminder of the powerful connection between emergency services and the communities they serve.

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust reposted this
Did you hear about the amazing new life-saving pilot the charity is funding on the BBC this evening? Thanks to a £142,000 grant from NHS Charities Together 💙, in partnership with Omaze, the charity has been able to fund a new life-saving project. For the first time in the UK, the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust advanced paramedics will be able to provide video support for cardiac arrest calls. When someone calls 999, they could be offered a video link to an advanced paramedic, who will be able to see what’s happening and support the bystander in giving time critical effective CPR in that life-saving emergency. “This scheme will help bystanders keep patients alive during those vital minutes.” – Dr Simon Walsh, Medical Director for EEAST. Kate Lott, Head of Charity for the East of England Ambulance Service Charity said: “Your help supporting NHS charities saves lives and we’re humbled by what can be achieved thanks to incredible staff initiatives and your generous support. “This project will make a life-saving difference, giving people real-time help during some of the most critical minutes of a person’s life.” Read more about this amazing scheme: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eTk5GKkY
