Each summer, our team brings to life one of Scotland’s most iconic spectacles, the The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo stadium. Set on the historic esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site welcoming over 10,000 visitors daily, this arena is a feat of engineering precision and planning 760 tonnes of steel, 35 miles of cabling and 1,600 crane lifts. Exciting news from the Paragon team! They have been appointed by De Montfort University, through the Pagabo framework, to deliver its prestigious new London campus at The Amp in Aldgate. Right now, they are working closely with the DMU team and key stakeholders to finalise the design on this fast-paced, high-quality design & build project. We recently took part in CITB's Women in Construction event at Coleg Penybont | Bridgend College, designed to highlight the construction industry as a rewarding and viable career option for young women. The event welcomed 65 female students from Years 7 to 10, representing four high schools across East Wales. 🚗 Two regional office visits, dozens of conversations and one brilliant networking event. 💬👷♀️ This week I hit the road to catch up with apprentices and line managers in two of our regional offices in the North before heading to Catterick Garrison for our 2024 Apprentice Networking Day. These in-person conversations are always my favourite - honest chats, thoughtful reflections and seeing how much progress our apprentices are making. The passion and commitment from our early careers community (and their managers!) never fails to impress me. We wrapped it up with a site visit and networking event at Catterick, a great mix of learning, connecting, and a bit of friendly LEGO competition! A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed me, shared their time and insights and helped make the week such a success.
