Tom Bryant to speak at Insider Tees Valley Economic Future event The newly appointed chief executive of the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) has been announced as a speaker at the Tees Valley Economic Future breakfast event next month. Tom Bryant took up the post as chief executive at the end of June, having previously held the role of Director of Infrastructure at TVCA. He has taken over the helm at a significant time, and will be leading the formulation of the Local Growth Plan which is due to be published later this year. Central to the Growth Plan will be economic development and supporting businesses, both key elements of Insider’s latest breakfast event. Taking place at the International Airport, which is itself transforming into a major business, innovation and logistics hub, the event will explore the economic drivers, regeneration hotspots and growth sectors shaping Teesside’s future. The event will examine what opportunities exist for Tees Valley businesses, what challenges need to be overcome and debate the role businesses can make in bringing economic prosperity for the region. The breakfast event will be chaired by Philip Cunliffe, Insider’s business editor for the North East. He commented: “We’re delighted Tom Bryant has agreed to speak at this important and exciting event. I’m sure there will be lots of interest from people wanting to hear about his plans for TVCA, how he aims to shape the Tees Valley agenda and how businesses can take advantage of the huge opportunities all this will present.” Other confirmed speakers include Tania Cooper MBE, managing director of Teesside manufacturing business, Steel Benders UK Ltd and Phil Forster managing director of the Teesside International Airport. More will be announced soon. The Tees Valley Economic Future event is sponsored by FW Capital, Jacksons. and Teesside International Airport.
