What are the chances? Half-marathon wellbeing initiative leads to +$30k scholarship fundraiser... On Sunday, 13 July 2025, members of our Melbourne Airport Naarm Way Stage 2 project team participated in Run Melbourne, raising over $30k for our valued partner, Western Chances. We're also delivering for #NSW with the contract award of Sydney’s M5 Motorway Westbound Upgrade. Starting in 2026, the project also focuses on sustainability, with smart design choices reducing embodied carbon through value engineering and material optimisation. Our very own Sam Kashefi is back at it – lugging a mobile DJ setup for 14km through Sydney for this year’s City2Surf. Why? For a bit of fun, a lot of sweat, and most importantly, to raise funds for Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. Let's support the mission... 'Wishing you all the best, Sam.
🎶🎵 𝟭𝟰𝗸𝗺 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧, 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗧, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗦 🏃♂️💦 Imagine a cardio session meets mobile nightclub… with zero structural support… Well in 2023, I did the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆𝟮𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗳 – all 14km of it – 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗝 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 Why? Great question. Midlife crisis? Early onset? Maybe just poor decision-making. Honestly, still not sure. But I survived, the decks survived, and the story made it into print. 📎 Here’s the article for those who need proof (or a laugh) https://shorturl.at/99UT4 Fast forward to 2025, and I’m doing it 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 this August, naturally. This time I’ve convinced a few mates and Seymour Whyte colleagues to join – yes, they still speak to me (sometimes) – and we’re raising funds for a cause that’s well worth the calf cramps while turning heads and probably ankles. 👉🏽 One goal: 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 – Chris O'Brien Lifehouse It’s going to be heavy, sweaty, and slightly absurd – but totally worth it if we make ourselves heard. Donate if you can. Or just laugh, share, and send good vibes (and maybe electrolytes!) Every bit helps, motivates us through the hills, and makes carrying the gear feel less insane / slightly lighter. We’re trading logic for purpose, and beats for blisters – and we’d love your support ❤️ 🔗 𝗦𝗲𝘆𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲 https://lnkd.in/gQYqAtdb

We're so proud to support and amplify the voices of our team members who are leading the charge for greater gender equity in civil construction. Our Canberra team recently joined industry peers at the 2025 Women in Civil Community Celebration Luncheon, hosted by CCF NSW | Civil Contractors Federation NSW, to reflect on the bold and necessary goal of “50 by 50” — 50% female participation in civil construction by 2050. Events like these are a powerful reminder that real change happens when we come together to share stories, learn from each other, and champion progress. Thank you to CCF NSW, keynote speaker Lizzie Williamson, and everyone who made the day so impactful. Together, we’re committed to building a more inclusive and balanced industry. Thanks for sharing Bianca Moss. #seymourwhyte #asmarterwaytomore #ourpeoplemeanmore #ourpeopledomore #womenincivil #50by50 #diversityinconstruction #inclusionmatters #togetherbuildingabettertomorrow
The Seymour Whyte Canberra team escaped the cold for the sunshine and stunning views of Sergeants’ Mess in Chowder Bay to attend the 2025 Women in Civil Community Celebration Luncheon, proudly hosted by CCF NSW | Civil Contractors Federation NSW. It was a powerful moment to reflect on our shared commitment to achieving “50 by 50” — 50% female participation in civil construction by 2050, a bold and important goal set by CCF to drive gender equality across the industry. The day offered the perfect platform to network, share experiences, and connect with like-minded professionals driving change across the industry. A special highlight was keynote speaker Lizzie Williamson, who reminded us of the importance of taking just two minutes to slow down, reset, and care for ourselves — especially in such a challenging and fast-paced industry. We’re proud to have had strong representation from Seymour Whyte and are grateful for the opportunity to take part in such meaningful conversations that help shape the future of civil construction. Thank you again to CCF and everyone involved for such an inspiring event. #WomenInCivil #50by50 #CCF2025 #SeymourWhyte #WomenInConstruction #Leadership #EquityInConstruction #CivilConstruction #Networking #DiversityAndInclusion
