#NPEA25 Nominee Spotlight: Edmonds Transplant Centre 🏥 Speller Metcalfe successfully delivered the Edmonds Transplant Centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, a vital clinical facility bringing the transplant multi-disciplinary team together in one space. The project has been nominated in the Construction Project of the Year category at this year’s NPEA25 Funded by UHB Charities, with a generous £4m donation from the Edmonds family, the project faced significant challenges due to its location within a historic building with outdated infrastructure. Initially over budget and behind schedule, Speller Metcalfe reworked the design and programme to meet the Trust’s urgent need for quicker delivery and improved clinical outcomes. Completed on time and within budget, the Edmonds Transplant Centre stands as a powerful example of collaborative working and charity backed healthcare transformation!
